A superhero registry only hurts those who register with it.

No empowered criminal would ever register with a government agency and those that do run the risk that the information could be compromised and they become vulnerable in their private lives.

It's basically the argument against DRM but with lethal consequences. Those that choose to live outside the law do so without repercussion while those who remain lawful are burdened with something that doesn't benefit them at all.

How is that possible? Isn't 4chan anonymous and can't you use a VPN?

It's IP-tracked but if you have a 4chan pass, they can ban you at the pass level so any device that is logged in with a pass gets banned too.

There are ways around this but I'll miss my pass for the next month (I liked the shorter post cooldowns).

As to why, basically they can't take a joke.

I dunno, I question whether or not it's for me.

On one hand I love the idea of finding someone who wants to share their life with you but on the other, I don't know if I'm a very reliable and have the aptitude to live with someone all the time.

I mostly play on PS4, and they have demo trials fairly often. Completely free. Does Steam not offer anything like that?

I think Steam games go with the logic that "people only really buy on sale anyway, why bother with a demo".

Also the refund system lets you refund games within two hours of playtime, which is a good length for a demo anyway.

Not exactly, they've just been replaced with alphas/betas/early access.

Except those require you commit to a purchase to mess with them. Demos are supposed to be a cost-free way of experiencing something before settling on it.

I like Pizza Hut pizza. Their pan pizzas are fluffy and substantial and they're the only place I've ever been to that uses red onions.

The only downside is sometimes my stomach gets churn-y when I eat there (though they aren't even the greasiest joint around, that goes to Little Cesar's, so I don't know why I get that way).

UWP applications aren't Windows applications, though. They encapsulate in a very annoying shell that doesn't play well with things outside of it.

Also you can't mod UWP games. Kills a big chunk of what makes owning a PC for gaming special.

After watching Live PD I have zero interest in working in law enforcement.

In fact I feel like any kid watching the show might be turned off to the idea as well.

Being a cop means you deal with the most annoying, most frustrating people you'll ever meet. Like after watching this show I feel like people genuinely WANT to get arrested because of how belligerent and unnecessarily ostentatious they act towards police (as in they could get off with NOTHING but instead choose to fight it out and make it a lot worse than it needs to be).

I do not have the patience for such shit. Five minutes on the job and I'd have lost half my hair.

If you never try your hand at anything, you will always be mediocre. Not good or bad at anything, because you never do anything outside your comfort zone. If you do try something you might find you suck bad at it, but now you've learned something useful about yourself.

Alternatively, it's suggesting that it's better to be a bad person and great in some respects (e.g. Mark Zuckerberg) than it is to be someone who is ordinary.

I meant in terms of quality, not performance. People say enduring something mediocre is less enjoyable than something outright bad.

Something you need to realize is that this isn't necessarily about "OPINIONS MAKE ME ANGRY" but rather that what they think are the best games ever (especially when you break it down by genre) suggest that they don't have a shallow palette, which in turn affects how they should be viewed when giving their opinion on current titles.
