There is absolutely no justifiable reason to be against gay marriage. Not a single argument holds any water.

There is a really, really good legal argument, actually. You cannot allow same sex marriage without also invariably allowing polygamy.

Yes, you can. We have gay marriage and we don't have polygamy.

Yet...But we will. There is no legal argument to counter with. you will find dumb ass lefties making all sorts of claims otherwise. But what is the legal argument? Once you define it as both a right and a contract between consenting parties, the number involved become legally and constitutionally irrelevant. i

A large part of the push for gay marriage is because taxes and other benefits are tied to marriage in a way that wouldn't function properly under polygamy. There's nothing morally wrong with it, just financially.

awesome999 posted...
The accident is the only reason Strange got his powers and there's no way a computer program could've predicted that

But this isn't the reason he became a hero, it's just what enabled it. The algorithm was targeting personalities, seeing who would become a hero given the chance.

If you want a good murder mystery, I'd suggest either going with Agatha Christie, or if you want something more obscure, He Who Whispers by John Dickson Carr.

If you want just any suggestion, I'm going with City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett, though American Elsewhere and The Troupe are both amazing too.

Tc, I saw that you were reading through all of his books. Which would you say are his best so far?

My top 5 in no particular order so far:

IT
Needful Things
The Dark Tower(cheating, but they're best taken as a whole)
11/23/83
The Stand

But it's really hard to judge, there are some great ones vying for the top.

Bottom 5 is pretty hard too, but so far it's

The Dark Half
Gerald's Game
Tommyknockers
Bag of Bones
Cell

Though I'm sure if you asked me at a different time I'd either think of something else in Bag of Bones' place, or just plain feel differently.

The beginning is kind of promising, but I remember it quickly getting very very over-stephen-kingish.

The movie is hysterically bad though

I'm so far getting big deja vu for Tommyknockers. Written while drugged up, about aliens, narrative jumps around the timeline, fails to really develop any characters enough to care about the horror going on.

But at least Tommyknockers seemed to have a lot of potential(I still feel if that book was a few hundred pages longer it could've been among his best), this just seems weak :/

Um what? She exposed just how trash our military is.

She literally exposed a ridiculous amount of soldiers killing civilians for the flimsiest of reasons.

She will live on as an American hero.

She also put tons of lives in danger by exposing details that didn't need exposing, and she didn't do it for any sense of moral outrage, but basically as a way to rebel. Manning wasn't a whistle lower, she was just reckless.

And this concerns me how exactly? I literally don't care your friend got his card stolen or the fact it was used to sell keys to G2A.

That only helps people like me and expecting me to be sympathetic towards some random fucker I'll never see or meet who got his card jacked is pointless

voldothegr8 posted...
This only happened to a few developers, maybe even one, who instead of selling their game keys through the proper channels (Steam, GoG, etc) sold them privately. G2A also offered to refund the developers any keys that were bought with stolen cards if proof was provided, it never was. Facts always left out by Total Biscuit and other haters.

This effects developers who go through Steam, and I'm going to assume those claims are the same as their claims that they have measures in place to stop people from selling illegitimate keys, in that they're bullshit claims but G2A throws their weight around against anyone who disputes them.
