I finally replaced my busted 360, so I'm playing a lot of my old favorites. No JRPG's yet, but I have Eternal Sonata, Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia, and just got Final Fantasy XIII.

I would say older Adult Swim cartoons, but for several of them I'd fight anyone who says they aren't good. Sealab, Robot Chicken, even Aqua Teen. Harvey Birdman was definitely quality stuff.

I was looking at the web page and noticed that it said "Part of the Circle Cinema Anime Club," so I'll have to inquire about that; it's definitely something I'm interested in.


About the gay bar, it really wasn't bad at all. I had one drink, which is one more than my average, and it might have gotten me a little looser.

I think I may have been just as comfortable there as a normal bar, if not more so. I'm generally all about people being able to be themselves and have a good time, and that's the kind of positive energy the place exuded. There were some other straight guys and a lot of women. The ladies were all pretty high on the atmosphere too, which makes it an oddly good place to hook up; if I wasn't keyblader I probably would have been able to.

Afterward, I'll realize how much I hate their food and always feel sick after eating it, then throw the coupons away. Then three months later I get more coupons and I go again.

I just got another set this week. I threw them right in the trash (which coincidentally is where Burger King belongs). I broke the cycle, you guys.

Thanks, guys. I do try to look at things rationally and really try to understand them, but for some reason I've never been able to get a bead on why I have these issues. My best guess right now is that it was simply a snowball effect, and each failure I experienced over time just fed into it.

On the practical side, the biggest challenge to eating better is going to be cutting out carbs. I love bread.

Why Nintendo doesn't just release all their VC games at once at a low price and drips them out slowly per console release instead is a financial mystery. They are all just run off of an emulator so they don't need porting.

I've heard that Nintendo usually tailors each emulator to the game in question, to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

My brother went to the doctor for a full physical some time ago, and the news came back that he's pre-diabetic. He's basically at risk, but with some proper diet changes it's avoidable.

He was telling me to give me a heads up. I always knew there was a decent chance we'd be at risk since my mom and a few aunts/uncles have it. But my brother isn't taking it sitting down, and he's taking the opportunity to make some real changes. He's got a lot of big plans for life and this isn't part of it.

My brother is a very driven and motivated person, who gets what he wants in life and solves any problems in the way. The problem is, I'm... not. It's something I've been thinking about and trying to deal with for a very long time, but whether it's due to depression or just general low self esteem, I just don't place a lot of value in my own life.

It's actually a major factor in the reason I don't have very much in life. I subconsciously don't think I'm worthy of having a great job, nice things, or finding love, so I don't try as hard as I could do obtain those things. And when I take a look at my comparatively hollow life, I think it's acceptable for me.

Diabetes is certainly not something I want, and I'll try to avoid it. But as long as I have these psychological issues, I don't think that would be any more successful than my efforts to improve other areas of my life. Any way you slice it, it seems like that's the problem I'm going to have to tackle first and foremost.

I don't think so. It's a small theater that mainly shows different kinds of artsy movies. A couple months ago they showed Your Name, and this weekend they're doing Paprika.

But I only recently found out about the theater, so it may be more common than I know.

Actually I've been doing a lot more things this summer than I normally would. I went to a pool party, a kickass party/anime viewing in the park, I may be going to a gay bar on Friday (it's complicated, but the answer to your question is no), and I'll probably go see another anime movie at a local theater on Saturday.

Shiren on Vita is absolutely overflowing with content. The Wii game barely compares. I'd say it's probably just as good as the DS game, which is the best roguelike I've ever played.
