| davidponte 05/20/17 2:17:11 PM #6 | All the build up was for this moment, a moment that has been coming for months now. My preparation for both this feud and this match started long before I was named the #1 Contender to the Undisputed Championship, and it's something that I've gone into detail about multiple times in the last month. I have DP to thank for allowing me to be as ready for this match as I am now. I've constantly been one step away, but one step too far from finally rising to the top. I've lost Undisputed Title matches before, including to DP, and I've both risen and fallen down the card in the nearly a year I've been here, and as I've continued to preach, every second of that was absolutely necessary for me to be the Superstar I am today. Even as I faltered out of the gate as the #1 Contender, I continued to grow and spin the losses into a positive, forever learning up to and including this past week. Each match, win or loss, has made me better, and each match, win or loss, has closed the gap between DP and myself. All the respect goes to DP, and this will surely be an unforgettable battle. I wasn't ready 6 months ago. I wasn't ready 3 months ago. I wasn't even ready 2 weeks ago. But since that first opportunity, 100 matches, and 100 shortenings of the gap between us have taken place, and today, I'm ready. I started my UCA career almost exactly a year ago, and that involved winning the Lightweight Championship on PPV in my first ever match, which eventually led to a nearly record-breaking reign. For my one year anniversary, I'm determined to recreate the magic, so I think it's time I go out there and win the Undisputed Championship, and finally rise to the top. --- |

| davidponte 05/16/17 8:45:49 PM #10 | 3. Beat a game released between 2000-2009 Grand Theft Auto: Vice City My favourite GTA game, and one of my favourite games of all-time. I've messed around with this game a lot over the years, but it's been over a decade since I played it through start to finish, so there was definitely a lot of nostalgia during my playthrough. It still holds up, and the soundtrack is still as great as ever. I plan on playing through San Andreas in the near future as well. It's also one of my favourites, but I don't think I've ever actually completed it, so it should be an interesting experience. 23/50 --- |

By the end of the series, I found him to (justifiably) be just as whiny as the rest of people in Walt's family, and it kind of turned me off of the character. I was always rooting for Walt and Jesse, regardless of whether or not they were the villain, but as time went on In saying that, I thought the ending provided a great resolution for both characters and was happy with it. --- Posted using GameFlux |

I'm ready now though, and won't be making the same mistake twice. Looks like there are some truth to my words after all. Just like I am not the same person I was all those months ago when I first got the chance to hold the Undisputed Title, I am also not the same person I was two weeks ago. Every day as the #1 Contender to the title has been a learning experience, and every day I become more prepared, and better equipped to finally take out DP and become Champion. That's the narrative I'm pushing, and the one I choose to believe in. Every shortcoming, and every loss along the way has not been a halt in momentum, but rather a chance to examine and prove that where I was once wrong, I can be right again given the chance. I lost to Stifled in a close match two weeks ago, one of the top competitors in the UCA. Last night, I showed just how much I've grown in a short period of time by turning the tables and, in the rematch, convincingly beat him. I lost to DP in a close match for the Undisputed Title many months ago, and just like I've proven I've been able to do time and time again, I will show just how much I've grown when given months, and prove that I can right those wrongs. I will be your Undisputed Champion, and no result beforehand can change that outcome. --- |
