Yes I'm furious, text is so emotional like that isn't it?
Of course labeling your opponent as angry when you have no basis or fact for said claim is yet another tactic of those who really have nothing else to stand on.

What it changes is that I'm for the very thing she is, at least in the form of stopping immigration from the middle east until Islam goes through one hell of a moderate change.

What about non Muslims from the Middle East?

Contrary to popular belief, none of the main characters in SH2 are full blown "bad" people. If you're interested, I recommend a story playthrough by a Youtuber/Twitch streamer named NubZombie. You can also try Sniper Kat Six. Both of them have great insight into the Silent Hill universe, NubZombie arguably more so.

James is a bad person. He has a sympathetic story, but that's because he's a well written character, not because he's a good person. Eddie is "not really a bad guy" in the sense that school shooters aren't "bad guys". Being bullied is no excuse to kill people. Ill concede that Angela wasn't really that bad.

Agreed. It was the first time a game gave me decent Silent Hill vibes since 4. Shame it sold and reviewed so poorly.

Of all the Silent Hill games, 4 is the one that made me feel the most uncomfortable. There's just something about that game...

Common reasons for those who were forced into Silent Hill in their respective games:

1. Those who came into contact with Alessa and those who she considered important in her life.
2. Individuals with severe mental issues, troubled pasts, and have committed sins.
3. Continuation of those that are close to Alessa, her reincarnation Heather, and members of the cult she originated from.
4. Basically anyone inside or near the apartments that Walter Sullivan is haunting.
Homecoming: An entire fucking town because of bad story writing.
Downpour: In a similar case to 2, the characters are those who have committed sins, have evil intentions to commit sins, or "do not play by the rules".

Homecoming was such shit. And of course that's the only one available on Steam. At least let me buy fucking Downpour.

If there is no art to experience; then no, that non-existent art wouldn't matter to anyone currently existing.

But he did have the memory. Therefore the experience mattered (to him). How temporary a memory ultimately is or is not has no bearing on whether or not it exists at some time. And the only thing a memory needs to do in order to have value is to exist at some time.

Yeah. I think this is the difference between my and everyone else's thoughts here. To me if I don't retain that memory forever, I don't see any purpose of it having ever existed.

Great...now I get to wonder why I think like this and nobody else does. Maybe I really am a very very stupid person. I might be so stupid that I don't even realize it. Hmmm...

You're probably a sociopath who doesn't see value in anything outside of your own experience.

It's hard to be a Christian in America.

How so?

White people and Christians are basically a minority at this point, Christians are the most persecuted group in the United States.

Could you provide a source for Christians being the minority religion in the US? Also, how do you compare persecution to define "most persecuted" in the US?

I mean, Obama essentialy made going to church illegal, so it's hard to get the statistics.

I live in Leland, Mississippi. Everybody I knew went to church when I was a kid, and now nobody goes. It really isn't hard to see the damage that a bad president can do.

The people you know stopped going to church because they woke the fuck up and saw they were being fed a spoonful of bullshit. Not Obama's fault you're slow on the uptake.

But if when you die you don't even have the memory of it, then what's the point of having the experience? Everything we are is a memory. Everything you've ever felt or thought becomes a memory the instant it happens. If those memories don't exist, then it's as if the event never happened.

Imagine you have no memory at all, and everything you do is not recorded. You forget the instant anything happens. What's the point of doing anything?

But I mean all that aside, it's clear there's a special way people behave toward Japan - a sort of passive reverence. And that makes people feel like they should sympathize more with Japan, even in the light of World war 2

That's true, but I would point out that this line of thinking isn't widely recognized within academic circles. We know what the Japanese did.

Have you ever seen Men Behind the Sun? It's hard to take up a sympathetic view of Imperial Japan after watching that one.
