I get frustrated enough working on my laptop. That would drive me insane.

That may be because laptops aren't
design to be disassembled and reassembled. This particular movement was surprisingly pleasant to work on if I'm honest!

Dang, I can't even write for long without getting cramped up. Guess that's why you make fancy watches and I throw people.

Throw people? What do you do?

Oh and this isn't my job, it was the first time I ever did it.

Surprised you don't have one of those huge desk mounted magnifying glasses that shit looks impossible to see.

This movement was large enough for me to work with my naked eye. There are common movements that are literally 20% of the size of this one. You'd need a loupe for that kind of movement, particularly for fitting the balance wheel (that springy golden wheel) into the movement.

Makes sense. I used to prepare meat and fish, and it gets swampy in there. One more question: How often do you get hand cramps?

Actually not at all! I've played musical instruments for a large part of my life where I was constantly told to keep my hands relaxed. Not sure if that helped, but I imagine it did.

Fascinating.

Thank you for editing the videos to a watchable length.

You're welcome! I hate videos that go on and on so I tried to make it as short and snappy as possible without missing important parts.

Why condoms instead of a whole glove?

It's for better breathability. The use of finger cots helps keep moisture, body oils, perspiration away from the watch components to prevent them from being damaged. Wearing those gloves for 3-4 hours at a time make your hands really uncomfortable.

I got invited by Omega to their headquarters in Biel Switzerland for a watchmakers course, and made a video documenting the experience. Basically we received an uncased movement, which we completely disassembled, reassembled, and cased. Between each step in the video we were explained what was to be done next and then it was back onto the workbench to execute it.

The watch's (Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 49mm) case has a pretty large 49mm diameter, but this large watch was used because it uses a large movement. Smaller movements are exponentially harder to work on, so it made sense for us beginners to work on such a large movement.

It was a fascinating experience! It might look a lot easier than it was, but this might be because I cut the video as short as possible. For instance, the part I refer to as the "final boss" in the video took about 5-6 minutes just to get the part in properly. I never needed such steady hands to do anything! It was incredibly fun and enlightening! I'm a sucker for mechanical watches, so it was very interesting to get hands on and really understand how they work. The watch features a simple date-less movement displaying the hours minutes and sub-seconds.

Amen TC... Today games that I'm interested in are releasing at a rate that's faster than I'm able to play them. It's pretty sad tbh... I have 2 daughters (4 and 5) and barely find time to play. Last night it was 9pm and they were put to bed. I thought I had a good 3 hours of time to play games. Hopped on the sofa and was sound asleep by 9:05. Woke up at 3am, crawled to bed and here I am now at 8:15...

I'm thinking when they're 8+ years old and don't wanna spend time with their lame-ass parents (us), I'll have time to get back into playing more video games. This could be wishful thinking of course - but hey, I can dream, can't I?

Tbh the kickstarter campaign leaves me with a bad taste. Fucking being charged $28 for shipping, which is more than I paid for a physical copy which was said to include shipping, just like all the other campaigns I backed. Then they go back on their word and charge fucking $28 which is such an obvious overcharging for 1 physical game.

I have hopes the game will be good (it probably will be), but fuck everyone involved for doing this shit to the people who financed their game.

I love them but the ingredients for me are just banana, strawberries, ice-cream and milk. Not terrible but I wouldn't call it particularly healthy

Honestly, it's only the ice cream that makes your smoothie unhealthy. The banana is more than enough to sweeten the smoothie. Try without the ice cream and you'll most likely still enjoy it - and it'll actually be healthy.

Always wanted to play those but could never justify buying a PSP

There are ways to play it without getting a PSP. I played it for the first time 2 years ago and loved every second. It's super addictive and the levels are really fun and well designed.

I own a PSP and the game, but it was way more convenient to play an emulated version.

I'd hardly call Ansel Elgort a fall. He's still acting and seems to be doing quite well. Sure he hasn't become the big male star people thought he'd become, but that's probably better for him in the long run anyway.

Fridge temperature is too cold for me (4-6 degrees celsius) and hardens the chocolate too much. Slightly above, maybe 10-12c would be ideal. Room temp is not ideal, particularly for milk chocolate. Dark chocolate fares better at room temp but is also not perfect.

Pan's Labyrinth holds a special place in my heart because I named my daughter after the main character. It's not my favorite movie by any means, but it is definitely worth watching.

The people choosing the ability, the fuck is wrong with you? Got bullied too much in school? Give it 3 months and 50% of the site will be banned because of one butthurt user who happens to disagree with people's posts and the site will be dead. The fact that we can't just ban whoever we want is what makes this site work in the first place.

Give Subnautica Below Zero another chance. I was skeptical at first too and didn't like how it felt different. Looking back now though, I'm glad it wasn't trying to captivate an identical experience to the first, but went for being its own thing instead. The map is different enough to be interesting, and the story is pretty engaging too.

Fresh ham
Parmesan

Coincidentally, this is the pizza that I made for myself for lunch today, and currently it's my favorite pizza, but this changes constantly!
