IIRC, in Creature Commandos they state that Task Force X got shut down by the government because of human rights abuse, so Waller takes advantage of a loophole and creates 'Task Force M' because all of its members are monsters and other creatures considered to be non-human.

At the end of Creature Commandos, we see that Nanaue joins the team, while Weasel was a member from the start.

I don't know about better than FF6 but it's absolutely better than FF5. The only thing FF5 does better which is kind of subjective is that it gives you all the jobs upfront and without any limits.

It would be cool, I think, if you were gonna remake it, that post game it stitches together all the worlds into one continuous world and allows you to recruit the various temps into your permanent party roster and have a postgame dungeon although the game itself already has a pretty robust postgame.

A segment where you're split into two parties but can actually choose who goes in what party would be sweet.

Final Fantasy Dimensions, which I can't believe is 15 years old. It really needs a remake/remaster on consoles really sucks the last real turned based Final Fantasy was mobile only. Oh and Dimensions 2 is trash.

If there were no gerrymandering of any kind, how would the district boundaries be determined? Would it be, likelaying a square grid across a map of the country and then just roll with the divisions the grid reflects? Or do you go within each state individually and base the divisions around geographic things like rivers and whatnot?

I don't think EV will take off until charging can be brought down to 15 minutes or the infrastructure for quick battery swaps are in place. People don't want to stop for 2 hours to charge their car, or wait for someone else using the one public charger to finish charging before they can start *their* 2 hour charge.

But now I was recently watching Kite Man and Creature Commandos and the design is different, it's like the classic DC design or something:

What's up with that? Could it be James Gunn related? Like he's making DC back to being good at the core level? Like they're going back to their roots of what made them great and paying respect to their much beloved properties?

It has been a while now since I played, so my memory is a bit vague on what some of this means.

I remember each class had its own, like, ultimate transformation. In the case of Saiyans, that was SS3. For Frieza Race it was to turn golden, for majins it was the Kid Buu form, etc.

Is SS4 a higher-level transformation, or is it just a costume/skin?

I'd say the last third of Picard is worth watching. Its first 2 thirds are abyssmal.

I thought Discovery and SNW are pre-TNG and Picard is of course post-TNG.

Technically you are in a time machine, but it only moves forward at set speeds.

• Gundam Wing - This series just oozes 90s anime style and cringe in a way that can get a little annoying as an adult, but it's a genuinely good show overall. It's a good war story with good action and decent political drama, but it's focused through this lens of broodiness that may not be everyone's cup of tea. And be careful not to cut yourself on all of that 90s edge!
• The Origin - This is a prequel story to the original Gundam series that focuses on the story of one of the main antagonists, Char. It's a fun story with good animation and action as well as pretty nice political drama, but it falls short with a lot of people because this Char is shown quite a bit differently than the Char from the original Gundam series onward. I wouldn't recommend this as a starting point, but I would still recommend still watching this one at some point after seeing the original Gundam series.
• Iron-Blooded Orphans- This one is a fairly modern series set within a pretty brutal world. If you're looking more for a "horrors of war" kind of story, then this is probably the one I'd recommend. It's definitely not a very happy story. The first season is fantastic, but the second season is only "pretty good" in my opinion since it never quite hits the same stride.
• Gundam 00 - A fantastic series that I can't recommend enough! If you only want to watch one of the longer Gundam series, this is the one I'd pick for newcomers. It has great action sequences, the animation is still good enough to not feel dated, and it has a good mix of drama and character development! There is also a movie set after the series called A Wakening of the Trailblazer that is generally seen as a bit of a black sheep, but I'd still recommend watching the movie if you enjoyed 00.
• 08th MS Team - This one takes place during the middle of the original series, but it is a stand alone story that requires very little knowledge of the original series to appreciate. I tend to find this one to be more of a love story set in the middle of a war rather than just a straight up war story though, so I think it's worth keeping that in mind. If you are looking for a short series to wet your whistle and dip a toe into the Gundam universe (specifically the Universal Century timeline), this is a great place to start. And it's a fantastic series to boot!
• Unicorn - Unicorn is what got me back into Gundam as an adult. It has great animation, but while I think you can certainly start here if you'd like, Unicorn is very much intended to be a sequel series. As such, you would likely get a much better understanding of the details if you watch the previous entries in the UC first, but I think you can still follow along with the main story of Unicorn just fine if you just want to jump right in.
• Seed Freedom - I haven't watched this movie yet, but it's a sequel to Seed Destiny (itself a sequel to the original Seed). I'd recommend holding off on this one until you've watched Seed and Seed Destiny if you can. The Seed stories have a bit of melodrama that was typical of anime series at the time, but they're both very good. And don't let the naysayers dissuade you from at least looking into Destiny! It's still an above average story with great action, but it just falls a bit short of being as good as Seed was (because Seed itself is excellent).

Things like civil rights and the present day 40 hour work week were not fought on through good feelings. People today have forgotten than the robber barrons were perfectly fine gunning down and killing dissent to keep their status quo. And that has not changed.

Or maybe they haven't forgotten and they are just like me. Scared and not willing to give up my life to fight for what's right. Praying someone else would fight that fight for me. Despite it ever increasingly looking like those who would are not showing up.

Their pacing also was fast but also slow as hell. After MoS they pretty much released nothing until BvS over 3 years later. Then WW 2 years later. Followed by the JL movie.

I'm not quite sure what Trump is doing exactly that the Democrats wouldn't also be doing if they'd won, and in fact already had been doing for the last 15 months. The only difference is the Democrats are more sneaky about it and gaslight you with PR spin and self-righteous proclamations about their commitment to human rights and international law and blah blah, all while continuing to do genocide anyway. At least Trump just says the quiet part out loud without all the duplicity and deception so that there can be no mistake about his intentions. It sure is refreshing to hear a US President openly admit to genocide and ethnic cleansing for once.

I thought Shinra felt the promised land is where Jenova came from and it makes sense that Jenova and Yu Yevon are related in some way.

The charitable interpretation here is that Spira is the "promised land."
