The shrink stuff was gen 1 lore but it was found in the 1997 Pokdex guide exclusive to Japan. The original anime did in fact show that Pokemon shrink and are just chilling in a sphere.

The "pokemon shrink themselves to fit into pokeballs" thing is so dumb. I have no idea why Legends Arceus introduced that; it was a question no cared to have answered.

Skits on rap albums are hardly ever interesting and I don't get why we're still doing them in 2024.

Just last year our district had: card fraud rings, shop lifting rings, and counterfeit money rings. Once the police got seriously involved and started setting up sorta-stings operations in stores is when we learned the scope of it. Made all the more annoying that these are now using kids making it even harder to really take action.

To me identity is a lot like faith; too complex and ever changing to completely define and yet we feel it so clearly. Let yourself examine your personal definition and want for identity and then look upon others, hell just the ones in this thread for example, and you'll see this uncertainty is kinda inherent to identity. So yeah you may never be 100% sure what you are, and yes your upbringing will have lifelong effects on it, but that's identity. Don't run from it just roll with it.

Grandparents yes, parents no. My folks and my aunt and uncle all played games growing up so they get it.

Fifa games. Sure they have a falling reputation, but the sales are still way too high. Single handedly keeping EA afloat through all of their dumb decisions.

Shante games. Man for as loved as the series is you'd think it would eventually grow and evolve with each release but to never does.

It's not that hard to understand when you remember that the initial wave of bronies came from 4chan and Tumblr. As such the fandom-isms came pre-baked. In this context that would mean waifu culture, constant stream of porn/smut (4chan/Tumblr aare huge writing/drawing hubs), and flexible sexual tastes. This is also helped by an underrated factor in MLP's popularity: they're stupidity simple to draw. A ton of artists, sfw and nsfw, got their start in or got their fame from the fandom.
