And you should be able to pull the drive, put it into an enclosure and pull the data from there. It may ask you for your old username and password though. Its been a few years since Ive had to do this.

Don't even need an enclosure. Just get a sata to usb cable off Amazon for $8.

Yes. Did you miss the part where I said Price to Performance? I wasn't spending $1400 USD on TV. The LG C3 is a phenomenal TV, with excellent black levels and an OLED display. I'd own it in a heartbeat if it were cheaper than $1000 CAD.

I've done a ton of research on TVs, picture quality, picture type, and who the best budget mid-range and high-end TV makers are. RTings came in clutch. For the $800 CAD ($550 USD) price range, it's either Hisense or TCL for quality and price to performance. Any of the premium models have fewer features in this price range. You're not going to get a Samsung, LG, or Sony TV that has 4K 120 Hz with 144 Hz overdrive mode, 4 HDMI ports (4K 60Hz eARC), HDR10+, Dolby Atmos, 1000 nits peak brightness, etc. They'll have some, but not all. I wasn't looking at spending a lot of money on a TV.

LG C3 has all of those outside of the 144 Hz. Their 65 inch goes for $1400.

TC should never mix their finances with their partners. This is a red flag regarding their partner.

I have. It's no Sunset Blvd but it's good.

Being underpaid comes with the territory but the benefits make up for it, imo. Also, I need the structure the lifestyle provides.

I used to be a contractor at DeCa. After speaking with a lot of the military guys, I'm on the fence about whether you come out ahead with those benefits or not. Not knocking you for enjoying that lifestyle structure though. Personally I hated the red tape of working there and love private sector.

A couple blue collar jobs with most being related to my IT career. Job hopping every couple years has been the best way for me to get better job titles and salary bumps.

I believe that Home Depot has a rental program where you can rent equipment you may need for a job. Could always see if you can rent an auger with a 100' clearance on it so you can drill out to the sewer.

Most would be surprised at what equipment you can rent from your local Home Depot or Lowes. I like to rent one of their industrial steam cleaners once a year for our rugs and carpets. Runs me ~$40.

It actually didn't have a pack-in game. At least not in the beginning. But since only two games were available at launch, and one of them was Pilotwings 64, you can imagine that most people were compelled to buy Mario 64 lol.

This. Pack in games stopped being a thing with that gen except with special bundles.

I seem to remember being able to choose shao khan and motaro and at least old raiden via controller inputs on the character select screen. N64 version blows ps1 version outta the water. PS1 version had load screens when shang tsung transforms

You're correct. PS1 has all four boss characters on the character select screen. N64 let's you play as those two via button inputs.

PS1's loading times are awful. Makes the whole game feel like a chore to play.

I wouldn't say the N64 version is missing a bunch of characters. Two of the bosses and the classic version of four characters. Not that big of a deal. That larger cart would have helped the most with music and sound effects.

Tag. I mainly use plex with my media server but still use vlc for local files. Interested to hear why vlc isn't the best anymore.

Tbf originally it was just a backup place in case someone got suspended here. At one point, Smack was suspended for a long time and our CE topics became hard to keep alive so conversation naturally moved towards the server.

Yeah mixing those with anything is a sin. Honestly most scotch doesn't lend itself well to mixing.

While I drink most stuff straight, cocktails can be fun. Mix that pb whisky in some sort of banana and bacon bit milkshake. Then you'll have a drink Elvis would love.
