No more Pyramid Head

The problem is that this movie is supposed to be adapting silent Hill 2, so we finally got to the movie where Pyramid Head is supposed to be and everybody's already sick of him.

Also, the guy who made the first movie is back after having been completely uninvolved with the second movie, so I'm actually holding out hope that this will be good. The first movie wasn't a perfect adaptation, but it's definitely one of the best video game movies ever made.

Lucas winged the originals but at least he had a cohesive story to tell.

Abrams had a three movie treatment, even after they brought on Johnson. Daisy Ridley even said in an interview that Abrams came to the second movie with a whole bunch of notes and things he wanted Johnson to carry forward so that the third movie plot would make sense, and by her own words Johnson chose to use literally none of it. It's even worse than nobody trying to plan out all three movies. It was actively sabotaged.

The actual cinematography is better than the prequels, but overall the prequels at least have one cohesive story. The sequel trilogy is just a box of junk that somebody shook up and started pulling random bits out to use.

Ukraine's endgame is a restoration of their territory including crimea.

Realistically, this probably concludes with Russia keeping some portion of the land they've taken. The question is going to be whether Ukraine can push Russia back enough that they restore access to most of their Coast or whether Russia ends up keeping their land bridge to crimea, which functionally turns Ukraine into an almost landlocked state with a significant chunk of their fertile land and natural resources now in Russian territory. That's how Russia has done it literally every other time they've done this in the last 100 years and I don't see any compelling reason to think it'll end any differently this time.

I thought Long John Silver was for the people who wanted seafood as cheap as possible and Red Lobster was for the Olive Garden crowd that's never been to an actual seafood restaurant and thinks that it's fine dining.

At least on Apple the unreasonable game price won't feel as bad.

It's like their own monarchy reality tv. The royal family actually turns a profit for the country, has mostly symbolic power, and they get to have bonus holidays and weird ceremonies as part of it. They're like the Kardashians but with less money and power but a bit more dignity.

It also has the same effect as PS3s that have the PT demo on it, where there is some stuff that you simply cannot get anymore except on an existing 360 hard drive.

For example, my 360 has Marvel vs Capcom 2 on it, and that's been delisted everywhere. Since the 360 version is the version that had pretty good net code, it's simply in high demand and there's no other way to get it at this point except through an existing console.

s that not the selling point of globalism? Countries export what they're good at making so that they can trade for other goods they're not as proficient in making. It's not China's fault that US auto companies dragged their heels for so long on making EVs and are currently content with keeping prices ridiculously high. These tariffs will do nothing but let domestic auto companies stay complacent and continue price gouging.

There's a significant difference between countries specializing in different things and a country cheating the system by using tax money to artificially deflate the cost of what they're producing until there's nobody else left on the planet that can afford to compete.

What you're talking about is two farmers growing different things and trading produce at the end of the harvest. What China is doing is more like one farmer growing the same produce as the second, but then selling them at half price until the other farmer shuts down and then turning around and charging whatever the hell he wants because there's nobody else growing what he grows.

One of the reasons Fallout 2 was so great to me was that there were different routes you could take. Hell, you could just live in the world and not give a shit about the quests. Plus there were so many different random encounters that is hard to replicate in a FPS style, since you could venture upon a raider stronghold, kill everyone inside and steal their loot, while in the FPS versions, that's not a random encounter, it's just that building you work through once to get the reward, rather than a random encounter.

I just feel the Bethesda games have been far too linear. I still love Fallout 3, I thought it was a great game to explore, but I just wish it had a little bit more random shit to do.

If someone was an asshole I would expect the video to be of this person stepping on that assholes food. Not a video of them stepping on 8 burgers in a row and laughing about it.

Again, I'm not saying nobody has ever been provoked into doing it. I'm saying I'm sure people have done it without necessarily having been provoked first. And even if a customer was an asshole, if you step on their food or spit in it in response, then my opinion of that person hasn't changed.

I go out of my way to be polite to food service workers and I still assume that at some point I probably took a bite out of a burger that somebody had spit in. Every time I see a clip that leaks of some food service worker tainting the orders it's never in response to some specific person, but because they're a trash person and they're bored so they're just stepping on a row of burgers or spitting on five in a row just to show they can.

Edit: and just to be absolutely clear, I'm not saying all food service workers are trash people. But if you intentionally step on or spit into people's food on the job you're absolutely living garbage.

For folks who aren't aware, the Chinese government is currently subsidizing their domestic EV market to bring the prices down to below the manufacturing cost. They're literally undercutting all the competition by having the government make their cars cheaper than it actually cost to make. The tariffs are to keep them from flooding the market and drowning out competition.

Vengeance is a brand new game in its own right, that also contains the original smtv and its dlc. Why would it be cheaper than the base game on release?

My point is that if it costs more than the base game you shouldn't take away people's ability to buy the cheaper version and accept they'll have less stuff, but if they cost the same (or less) than it's just updating the listing and nobody is actually harmed so its no big deal to delist the old version.

Isn't most SMT DLC just stuff to make the game easier, like a stage for grinding money or a stage for grinding XP?

At this point they should just give each episode its own unique title drop and re-use all the old names.

This is fine, but only if Vengeance comes bundled with all the DLC and sells at a lower price than the base game + DLC right now.

I dunno how to properly answer you but for me as a fan all I would ask for is more consistently with every rule. Yes call all the travels but also call all the physical fouls as well. I don't want one thing to be regulated and another to be more lenient, that's just stupid. If I want people to be super physical throwing elbows and shit I'd watch MMA.

Well we're in agreement there. Consistency in enforcing the game's rules should be better than it is. I'm also not looking for fist fights on the court either. That's what Hockey is for.

So what is the explanation you would give to a casual fan that wants to know why traveling is a rule but also one that at the professional level is constantly and arbitrarily ignored? Is there an actual, official reason for it?

Like, in soccer the rules explicitly state that a ref should temporarily ignore any violations made against the offensive team if they have momentum and potential to score a goal. But in that instance it's specifically trying to prevent the defense from killing a strong offense via fouls. Traveling doesn't have that same impact.

I keep seeing this article posted but I can't find a source as to what new methodology or source the UN is using for why they decreased the women and children fatality count. They're now saying instead that some 4,959 women and 7,797 children, instead of the 9,500 and 14,500 number from before.

Could be related to that report from 2 months ago that showed that the health ministry numbers being reported were statistically impossible, not representative of the population distribution, and seemingly completely disconnected from events on the ground:

I couldn't find any history of anyone talking about the report, so if it's bogus I'm sure somebody will say how. At the very least it is written with a pro Israel bias, but the math itself lines up.

The final fight was too long, but I actually really like how it was executed with different groups taking on the boss together and seeing how one victory impacts the other fights. I also agree with people who say that without some kind of crazy fight this game would have had a boring ending so I get why they made it over the top.

random dudes weren't doing this until the beef started, though, unless I have the timeline wrong. That's what the investigation would be about. If Drake had 0 random dudes committing or attempting murder on his property in the year or more prior to the start of this beef, and 3 people since the start... why wouldn't you investigate that?

So like... whats the boundary between "beef" and "criminal activity"? Because I'd think multiple murder attempts with actual bodies left in the wake elevates this beyond beef and into "federal investigation" territory.

I'm not familiar with the law regarding stuff like this, but why would the city needed him to hide his boat to begin with?

One article I saw mentioned that some of his neighbors are now commissioning the same artist to paint their boat fences, so it looks like the entire city has some weird law on the books where boats have to be behind fences for some reason. So like a citywide homeowners association, which just sounds awful.

I could understand if this was a homeowners association thing, but on what basis does the state of California have the ability to tell somebody that they need to build a fence to hide their boat?

I'm on the fence this time. Endwalker was amazing, but I don't really see much hype for this one this time.

I think I'm done after and walker, but mainly because it's such a good place to put the story down. I'm expecting Dawntrail to be a much smaller, character-driven story. They need to reset the stakes and if they want another Shadowbringer or endWalker they're going to need to put at least two expansions in between to give the story time to build.

I don't know that a store owner can legally let somebody live in a space like that for a variety of reasons. I'm sure it doesn't pass any safety codes, I'm not sure you can technically have residential space in a commercial zone, and I think allowing her to live there might technically make the store responsible for maintaining that space to ensure it remains livable since she would have all the same rights as any other tenant.
