A classmate had brought it with, and he let me read it. There wasnt much to gather from it other than the brutal fight, since that last part of the fight is basically all splash pages, but I still enjoyed it. I think I bought a collection at a comic store - the entire story (like 6-7 comics) in one collection. I dont think I ready Funeral for a Friend until it was part of a collection as well. But I absolutely bought the Reign of the Supermen individual comics for a stretch when those came out in real time. I hadnt read a comic since the Reign of the Supermen stuff. And I came across a copy of Hunter/Prey, the story about the resurrection of Doomsday and the rematch with Superman. I morphed into my younger self and needed to ready each of those. | The_Popo 11/24/24 8:54:40 PM #5 | It is one of the few comic book stories I read as a kid. Absolutely loved the entire arc Death of Superman, Funeral for a Friend, Reign of the Supermen. Also, I know some people hate Doomsday as a character due to how simplistic he is (force of nature that is super strong, but in theory should be outsmarted every time), but I just love the idea of this absolute brute of a wrecking ball villain. And I think his design is great, too. Years later, I stumbled upon a novelization of the story at a book store and bought it used for super cheap. Large parts of reincarnation really dragged on, but the ending was ultimately very satisfying. There are several short stories as well, so I may go through them. Based on the first 2 paragraphs, the first one seems to be about what happens in the aftermath of Kamil posted... Oh not American too? I remember reading somewhere it was voice acted and thinking huh how about that. I dont mind Japanese dubs with English subtitles, particularly when that is how the media was originally released. By it seemed weird to me at first, with a game that takes place in Europe to be in Japanese. I got over it quickly, but I woulda really preferred it with an English dub.
