It is one of the few comic book stories I read as a kid. Absolutely loved the entire arc Death of Superman, Funeral for a Friend, Reign of the Supermen. Also, I know some people hate Doomsday as a character due to how simplistic he is (force of nature that is super strong, but in theory should be outsmarted every time), but I just love the idea of this absolute brute of a wrecking ball villain. And I think his design is great, too.

Years later, I stumbled upon a novelization of the story at a book store and bought it used for super cheap. It was a fun way to go through the story again, and it showed me more background into a lot of the characters that I otherwise only knew from their inclusion in the comic.
