With the Wii, they had a gold mine that ran out. They wanted a big splash with the next generation and thought outside the box. The Wii U was the result, a risk that failed.

The tried outside the box again with the Switch, and this time they hit the jackpot. And since it is still selling like crazy all these years later, they really dont need to think outside the box for the first time in a long time. This is a case of If it aint broke, dont fix it. More of the same.

I voted for Walter. Both are very evil, but Walter.

Gus at least looks at the big picture in my cases, and lets his actions benefit the big picture. This leads to him doing acts of good to help himself out in the long run. This includes philanthropy and charity, running a business than looks out for its employees, and just trying to do good by the community in all ways outside of his drug empire.

With Walt every little petty victory needs to be his, and he will run down just about anyone to get his way, except for his family and Jesse. Usually.

We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe. So, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days nickels had pictures of bumble bees on them. Gimme five bees for a quarter, you'd say. Now was I... Oh yeah! The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt at the time. You couldn't get where onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones.

My friends always comment that I havent seen a buncha movies that the rest of the world has already seen. I think Ive made good strides at seeing a lot more movies that are must see, but I still get crap for it.

So Im asking that everyone list 5 movies that they think are must see movies that most people have seen. The first movie that gets listed 3 times that I havent seen will be the movie I watch (pending that it is easily accessible).

If a movie is listed 3 times and I have seen it already, I will make it known.

Curious if this will work. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I think its dumb. Hes been going by Adam Copeland this whole time, so just have people call him Cope as a shortened nickname, but have him be officially announced as Adam Copeland.

Similar to Jon Moxley. A lot of people refer to him as Mox, but he is still officially recognized as Jon Moxley. Just do that. Cope as an official name sounds ridiculous, and it sorta reeks of how Vince would just ditch a persons first or last name.

These games are ranked from worst to best:

Phantasy Star II (Sega Genesis via PS3)
Kirbys Dreamland (Gameboy)

The_Popo
12/29/24 5:47:18 PM

GrandConjuraton posted...
Plus, ChatGPT.

The idea that the Current Events message board on GameFAQs is primarily kept alive by internet trolls and ChatGPT can be refuted by considering several key factors.

1. **Diverse User Base**: The Current Events board on GameFAQs has a long-standing and diverse user base, composed of people with a wide range of political, social, and cultural views. While trolls do contribute to some of the noise, many users engage in thoughtful, substantive discussions. The board has consistently been a space for individuals to debate real-world events, share news, and express opinions, long before AI like ChatGPT became popular.

2. **Historical Context and Continuity**: The Current Events board predates the rise of AI-driven platforms like ChatGPT. Since its inception, the board has been active with users discussing politics, social issues, and world events. Its longevity shows that it has sustained a natural, organic community for years. While trolls and bots may exist, they are not the main force driving the community; it is regular users who are responsible for most of the content.

3. **Trolling vs. Genuine Discussion**: While trolling is a part of any online forum, the presence of trolls does not necessarily overshadow the genuine, meaningful conversations happening. The Current Events board has several users who contribute well-researched posts and thoughtful commentary. Often, these users actively engage with one another, moderating the discussion and steering it away from inflammatory or troll-driven posts. This balance between trolls and thoughtful users is a hallmark of most large online communities.

4. **Moderation and User Reporting**: GameFAQs has an active moderation system that works to reduce disruptive content. While trolls and bots may still infiltrate, there are tools available for users to report and combat spam, inflammatory content, and trolling. This helps maintain a level of discourse that is not entirely dominated by disruptive forces.

5. **ChatGPT's Limited Role**: While AI can generate text and participate in online discussions, the use of ChatGPT on platforms like GameFAQs is not widespread or dominant enough to drive the board. The AI's influence is more likely to be minor, as the board's culture is built around the interaction of human users. Additionally, ChatGPTs responses are often easy to identify as it lacks the nuance, context, and personal experience that many users bring to the discussions.

6. **Real-World Engagement**: The Current Events board is filled with posts from people who actively engage with news, politics, and societal issues, often drawing on their personal experiences, biases, and insights. AI lacks these lived experiences, and even the most advanced AI cannot fully replicate the nuanced perspectives that real people contribute. This ensures that the conversations on the board remain primarily human-driven.

In conclusion, while trolls and AI might influence the Current Events board to some extent, they do not "keep it alive." It is sustained by a long-standing community of users who continue to contribute, debate, and engage with current affairs in meaningful ways.

Good write up. I agree with a lot of it. Regarding the ranking, I agree with what you have except I am uncertain of my own ranking for seasons 1, 9 & 10. I find very little of season 1 to actually be funny, but it is simply classic Simpsons, so it is almost like Im using a different scale for that season. Seasons 9 & 10 are very close. I think season 9 has higher highs, but it also has some lower lows (and a clip show), whereas season 10 is a bit more consistent.
