I dont have a town read on any of the 3 nessisarily. But I also don't have a scum read on Peaf or Chris. I do have inclines of thinking Chris is Scum by playing similar to a couple Scum games on MU but idk.

Sultan usually has good reads that tend to get buried in the thread at times because of the way he posts. I want to get him 1v1 so I can pick his brain without interference. If he's town I'm sure he'll have some good insight that will be easier to glean without distractions, and he's not the best at faking it as scum iirc

Chris feels a little off so far but not sure if scum or just doing things. This isn't a typical mafia game so the traditional way of scum hunting isn't really going to work

So I have been thinking about this. I think we should avoid pairing up early and just kind of get a feel for everyone and who we might want left out in the cold.

If we have a wolf in a tough spot and someone goes against the grain, it could be a wolf partner saving them.

In this setup it's going to be tough to get wolves out the first two days because wolves can save each other. However, the game has a minimum of five days so they probably won't want to be too blatant about this. Something to keep in mind.

Hasty plays muddle the waters and favor wolves much more than town, so we should keep that in mind.

Hypothetical #2. Dumey plans to date Death. Ulti plans to date MZero. Both Death and MZero aren't around at end of day, so Dumey and Ulti date out of self-preservation, and Death and MZero are both left dateless because we planned it too late in the day.

Two people left with no date and die.

Both of the hypotheticals involve some human error, which is probably why Chang didn't factor it in. But humans gonna human, you know?

again this is four people (Dumey, Death, Ulti, MZero) leaving 11 others to pair with each other, meaning one is left over to die with death and I.

Just think about it, if you have 15 people you can't pair everyone up and leave two unpaired. That would be the same as having everyone paired up, which would make it an even number, which 15 is not

It's possible for a day phase to be manipulated, but it would require someone intentionally not dating and is likely more trouble than it's worth.

It doesn't work mathematically

Hey, MZero, how well does this game's deadline work out for you? There's protections in place to help out folks who can't make it to deadline, but if you never get paired with someone to begin with, that could be problematic as you'd by default be the sole person left alone. Unless you're scum, then that'd be good for us.

best case scenario I wake up like an hour before deadline, so not the best but it's doable

I had some early thoughts about the setup upon reading the rules in the discord. One, the idea of confirming only one night kill per night to ensure there is always an odd number alive during the day seems easy to play around if we simply leave two people undated at end of day. Then we're on an even number. I don't really think it matters because we'd likely want to use our "lynch" power to exclude someone every day anyways, but it just seemed like a weird rule inclusion when it would be so easy to break anyway if we actually wanted to.

Remake was awesome. If you want a turn-based RPG, play one of those.

Like, I seriously can't comprehend why people think it's fair criticism to bemoan a game for being a different genre from another game in the same series. Yes even if those games share the same name.

Well turn-based RPGs are a dying breed so as a fan of the genre it makes sense to be upset that more and more series that were turn-based have gone action. That being said FF went down that road long ago so it's a little late for that.

imo FF7R kinda sucked but a lot of people liked it, so I guess the consensus would be that it's a good game. Rebirth isn't out yet but has good reviews. I likely won't play it
