| Topic | I can't figure out my Mod issues with Fallout New Vegas |
| notforremnant 04/16/24 11:32:49 AM #1 | The game was 6.99 or whatever on Steam for the ultimate edition. When I first played it way back when on the 360 I had none of the DLC, so it was a great time to scoop it up. But obviously mods are still a necessity even with more customization on PC to begin with. But I've done a few mods, like 15~ or so for bug fixes & QoL. But as soon as I do YUP patches, or do anything in the load order even following note guides with the recommended paths, I keep getting red diamonds with white exclamation points everywhere in the world. I've done two fresh installs to try & get it right, & all the mods & everything are in, but I can't get the red diamond mesh issue to go away. Should I just get another mod to make them disappear or turn into another object? Would it severely hurt my experience cause I tried for hours last night to diagnose the problem. Can post my Vortex load order if it helps with troubleshooting |

The rog alley was on sale at best buy like a month ago for almost half price or somethingThe Windows integration with the ROG is pretty poor AFAIK still. Like yes you can run & play games & set everything up on it, but the QoL & UI are very underbaked last I checked. You'd still want to partition it & then just run your Steam shit on one 1/2 then Windows/GOG/Epic or whatever on the other side so you can have your Linux integration steady on one part of it. |

Valve is intent on supporting the Deck long term, & it's been making much better strides in improvements than the Switch, Ayaneo, or other handhelds have been making. |

So they should hit that sale around June/August like someone said, & then in Winter or around when they start to market the next deck |

I actually liked Soul Hackers 2 a lot, but that game was mostly shadow dropped and did release with some issues. It's not great but, but better than popular reception though that navigation shit omg can't defend that.Yeah Soul Hackers 2 was a solid 7/10 for me. I got it for 30$ & thought that was great for it's shortcomings. Definitely no must play though. So if Metaphor is a spinoff using design elements from Persona/SMT, I guess it's likely to be a better more highly budgeted version of the Persona/Fire Emblem game that came out years ago. So we'll still be getting a Persona 6 some time, interested to see what we get. |

If Remake isn't being rated better than Rebirth, while people neglect to mention the mini game bloat, the padding, the performance issues while being exclusive to a single console, the poor UI & menu design & everything else, why does it have better scores? It's clearly suffering from more issues & has a smaller install base than Remake had. Dragon's Dogma 2 is the same case. The game is riddled with flaws like swiss cheese, while still getting 85+ scores because people apparently don't care about the awful performance across all systems, worse class options than DD1, less enemy variety, unneeded MTXs, archaic game design & unhelpful in-game navigation systems etc etc. If people were truly critical of these products, the scores would be lower. But DD2 still sold well because people had been waiting a decade for it, meanwhile Rebirth is doing worse than Remake & FFXVI, so what else is hampering it besides what I mentioned that it's still doing so poorly? |

I remember Linus Tech Tips building water cooled PCs more than once, & even despite the mistakes they were making, you have to eventually replace & empty the water sooner than you would just cleaning fans for dust & such |
