I didnt feel like trying to remember all of the stuff it was throwing at me. Watched the first 2 movies recently. Thought they were fine - nothing great, but fine - and Im wondering if I should give the books another chance, since I would have an understanding for more of the lore from the beginning. I am just starting a quest to get my 5th character - I already have Ophelia (healer), Cyrus (scholar), Haanit (hunter), and Therion (thief). Im about to start the Alfyn (apothecary). So far, the game seems fairly slow paced. Im guessing it will stay this way until I have everyone and an actual plot develops? Because so far, it seems like each character just has their own thing that needs to be done, but there is zero reason for these characters to be together. No overarching story. It sorta seems like how the FF6 World of Ruin would be if you just went around collecting your characters, but there was no Kefka. Just get each character and sort their conflict, and thats that.
