They're fantastic games, but only if you're a fan of that genre to begin with. As OP said the closest they'd come was in a fighting game, I think that's a bit of a hard recc.

I didnt mean that I dislike games like that. Just that Id never played a DMC game, and the closest Id come to it was by using the characters in MVC3. Almost made a similar joke about how the most Kirby Ive played has been in Smash.

Yep, pretty horrible.

I played it during Covid for the first time. Actually platinumed it, as it was a fairly easy platinum. But yeah, I agree.

My assumption has been that my take woulda been drastically different if Id played it on PS2 when it first came out. Gigantic boss fights woulda seemed incredible back then. But playing it so many years later on PS4, it was underwhelming. And yes, it doesnt feel like a complete game, but instead just a boss rush mode. I dont really get the point of having such a big world to traverse, merely for the sake of finding the bosses fights. There is nearly nothing to do but search for the next boss and then fight it.

I can completely understand why people hold it in such high regard, though.

Even prior to the Attitude Era, theyd do things like have a fake Bill Clinton in the crowd, claiming it was actually him, and Vince would make a few cracks about him. They did a thing leading into Wrestlemania X about how the president would be in attendance, and then it was this guy.

Id like Mario Golf. I never got to play that one. Or Tennis for that matter. Arent the GcN ones considered the best?

I preferred Mario Tennis on N64, but GCN is good. The Mario Golf game on GCN is easily the best in the series.

Id be curious if theyll release Metroid Prime 1 & 2. My guess is no, since Remaster is out on Switch, and they would likely do another remaster collection with MP4 on the horizon.

The hate for Skyler isnt that she is trying to control Walter. She was a caring wife who ultimately was getting tired of the lies before Walt finally came clean to her. And even then, she distanced herself before finally giving and playing a role as a complicit money launderer.

She is hated because she was an obstacle to Walt moving up the ladder as a drug lord. Walts ascension made for great TV. IRL, Skylers reactions to Walt are 100% understandable. But in an entertaining TV show, she was seen as an obstacle to a lot of viewers, and hence was bad.

Played and beat the original. Played part 2 as a kid, but never made it too far. Played a good bit of Super Castlevania IV, but never beat it. Never played any of the Metroidvania games.

Never played any of them. Closest to it is playing as Dante, Vergil and Trish in MvC3.

Kirby
Played and beat Kirbys Dream Land (Gameboy) and Kirbys Adventure (NES). And played as Kirby in Smash.

Ive beaten Twin Snakes twice, but thats it.

Played a few hours of the PS1 original when it first came out. Played and beat REMake as Chris and Jill back in 2022.

If I start a game, Ill look at the trophy list and see if it seems like something I should try. If it does, Ill give it a solid try. If it doesnt, then no biggie.

But I do think trophies adds to my enjoyment. And I understand that it isnt for everyone.
