i played hundreds of hours of 76 last year, and am on a current playthrough of 3 (and visited DC last month!) and this is how i rank things now based on my life experiences

new vegas > 76 > 3 > 4

as much as i absolutely loved 3 when it was first released, it now feels like it's lacking in a lot of things. it's still an incredible game, though, but the highs are not as high even though the lows are not as low.

this past week i binged the mcu shows that i never saw, including she hulk (and things like secret invasion, echo, etc.). i gotta say, she hulk is by far one of the more enjoyable ones.

i personally loved the harvey birdman, space ghost style of everything. i also thought the writing was funny and the characters were enjoyable. i feel like she didn't break the fourth wall enough though. it honestly doesn't even need to be in the mcu canon (it had too much he hulk already anyway). it would be worth investing into, i think, rather than something like echo or agatha. but what do i know.

i've never been into hockey and i adopted very late in my life so my team is actually the golden knights. i also just love gold. and vegas. and the logo is fuckin' sick. anyway. go knights.

i would actually recommend starting with 3. i think it introduces the lore and gameplay in a really nice way. it's also, imo, the most dreary and devastated wasteland, so it's not so confusing or chaotic.

if you're comfortable playing old point n click DOS games then i would recommend starting with 1. but it's tough to navigate for modern gamers. even just going into the inventory, equipping, attacking, even attacking in VATS, can be pretty complicated for someone new to it. but if you can handle it, i would start there first.

i definitely wouldn't start at 4. unless you really like base building games. then you'll adore 4, so play it first. but i would argue it's the least fallout-like game of them all. riddled with dialogue, cutscenes, and scripted everything.

really just dumb decision after dumb decision. it's no surprise they're riding high on milking the absolute hell out of ff7, everything else they've done recently is pretty much just shit.

actually i was pretty surprised they didn't feature many mutated animals besides the gulper. didn't see any brahmin either, afaik, which is like a franchise staple.

supermutants, protectrons, sentry bots. eyebots. robobrain (and not just a brain with a needle). a lot of things they still need to include or reference.

fps and point and click are abysmal with a controller, and this is coming from a person who used a controller most of his life

playing something like mount & blade, c&c, or Fallout 1&2 are so goddamn tedious with a controller. even a touch screen is better. and precisely aiming with a mouse on a cursor is a million times faster and more accurate, especially without any kind of auto-aim in the game.

overwatch

i play so many games, i've played all the big names at some point in my life, but i've literally never been hands-on with overwatch. i've only even ever watched someone play it a handful of times.

i tried 3 on my own and it was too annoying. i tried it with a couple friends and they both found it really boring and uninteresting. personally i see no reason to recommend it. 2 and pre-sequel were fun though.

it's only stressful if you really care about everything, like planning activities and worrying out mileage on a car. then yeah, it's going to be stressful.

it's not stressful if you don't care and just let yourself adapt to whatever comes at you. adjusting and being free without much worry is the best way to do it. but not everyone can.

this is my life

yeah it was pretty fun. there were tons of storylines going on, people had their own drama. they were able to bond together and get a lot of things happening. i was mostly a luerker but it was a good time. back in the day, ce was seen as childish and chaotic with no real bond. lue was pretty united, despite all the internal conflicts and trolls like darkcobra taking a lot of the spotlight.

price is the main factor. but if they're somehow all equally priced, i feel like 80/20 is the usual go-to.

small brawl is a fun time. but it's crazy to see it getting praise at all. the game has been blasted with hate since its inception.

the worst thing they did with the series is go online. it destroyed the essence of the game, it destroyed the loops, and it destroyed any sense of familiarity or interest in the characters themselves.
