The GI bill can be used when your still in or after you've seperated/retired and qualified to receive it. I think qualifiers for it are 3 years of service and a discharge that is above dishonorable and those are like felony convictions so you screwed up bad.

Tuition assistance is for when your active and up to 4500 a year for school. Like the other person said it's just for school but my last college did digital books that rolled that in to tuition so I was able to use that for all of my expenses except one class to stay on course for graduation. TA is a bit more restrictive and needs supervisor approval and no current disciplinary problems.

felony convictions? don't the army want to handle all that stuff in military court like court martials anyway? for active military they don't want to go through the local prosecuter..etc...

There was a new hire at my old valet job and He seemed cool at first but was actually really shitty. One day during down time he said to me Mike, youre big you scare my wife! Why you so bigggg or stuff like eat more vegetables. Now I already have low self esteem so I never said anything because I didnt want to go to HR because deep down I was embarrassed about my weight. My management team even witnessed it and did nothing. It sucked though he eventually got fired for blowing a gasket and tried to fight another manager.

In the UK, yes.

In Vietnam, traffic laws are simply not enforced. Most drivers have no license or insurance. Traffic lights, lanes, pavements and speed limits are ignored. Its completely different to the UK.

I just finished up a BS in Cybersecurity in January. Didn't take long once I started. Used military benefits for it.

Very few people can actually drive here though. I have colleagues who are licensed to drive cars despite never having driven one, which explains a lot.

Yes, I work for the federal government, and yeah the postal service is also a federal job.

heard that like post office is not that great as far as federal jobs go. Have not really heard or tried if local post office jobs are like impossible to get.

No, you have to actually retire to get a pension so most people don't. It's like 50% active duty pay though so if you make it there it's great.

The USPS may be one of the exceptions, but it takes time to put in dues and the work is backbreaking. No thanks. Besides, my work experience is in clerical stuff. That being said, if you can hack it, eventually it's better than even UPS.

Federal government employment is one of the best jobs you can have in the US, period. Due to that, the competition is insane. I'm staying at my governmental level because the pay is great, and I'm too old now to start over in a new pension system; I've made my bed and now I gotta lie in it. It's not so bad though, as I'm slated to make over 100k in a few years, and the pension is generous.

use like u.s postal service considered that? the competition to work at the local post office is great? too old to start over, you wanna say how old you are? cause i kinda wanna change career fields.

No, I'm set in my career right now, thank God. I honestly don't even need the degree to get a promotion in the future, just more time in the union. Mostly I'm just doing this to prove to myself that I can.

Well, college admissions across the board are down. I imagine that there would be more people in this class if it were offered 20 years ago. But really, most adults can only go to night school due to working during the day. Thus class is also only once a week, so it feels more accelerated.

My major is Sociology. The class is The Sociology of Sport.

I haven't yet used ROS 2 but just checked out some sample code. The syntax is slightly weird but it makes sense, but I've also been using ROS since 2012 so I have a bit of experience with the general idea. I would just recommend being comfortable with ROS 1 as a starter and going with the online tutorials if that's something you wanted to do

It's minor, but the closest thing I've had to workplace bullying is at my current place of employment.

From what I've been told, some of the doctors were opposed to the creation of my position. I'm part of a group of pharmacy technicians who document patients' medication history before they are admitted. Most of the doctors have come around to the position because we're able to be more thorough than nurses when it comes to investigating a patient's history.

There's one doctor though who will intentionally get in my way and force me to dodge whenever we pass in a hallway or walkway. I'll give ground, obviously, deferring to his position. But he will reposition himself to continue to get in my way and move at a high rate of speed to force me to dodge. If ever I collided with him, I'm sure he would put forth an immediate proposal to have me terminated.

Ive got a couple who really annoy me though.

One moans constantly about how he doesnt get paid enough, but hell never leave because he knows working anywhere else hell take at least a 40% pay cut. Its like he cant decide whether or not he knows how good he has it.

The other just doesnt listen. She thinks that she knows better than everybody else because shes older and has been in the job longer, but shes actually one of the least effective members of staff and could really benefit from some humility.
