Yes nobody ever showed celebrities at sports games until Taylor Swift showed up to one.

It sucks that until this year Superbowl was just about the football. Hopefully next year they won't have any focus on a musician.

Fucking why are more games doing this? Capcom did something like this recently with RE4R. Is yellow like some sort of accessibly coded color used to draw attention to something?

As games increase in fidelity and detail yellow still sticks out. It tells the player "You can interact with this" in a consistent way that can apply to several things across the entire game.

RE4 does it because there are barrels, crates and other stuff placed around the world that you can't touch.

FFVII Rebirth will be doing this because there will be numerous cliffs that you cannot climb.

A toggle isn't going to do much when the game is designed specifically around yellow paint.

Not sure why people get so annoyed about it. Games have always followed a design language for you to follow. Red barrels don't actually explode if you shoot them.

If the cliffs were grey players would be trying to climb the rocks to the ledge because there's no actual reason Cloud himself cannot. You know you can't because the game tells you that you can't.

Edgar-Jones stars as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi (Golden Globe nominee Anthony Ramos, In the Heights) to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Powell), the charming and reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better.

As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler and their competing teams find themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives. Twisters features an exciting new cast, including Nope's Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane (American Honey), Daryl McCormack (Peaky Blinders), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Nik Dodani (Atypical) and Golden Globe winner Maura Tierney (Beautiful Boy).

Isn't this the exact same plot as the original? Just her traumatic tornado event happened in college instead of as a child?

Doesnt he also save him from a fall (or car impact?) in one of the Nolan movies too? Kinda flies in the face of post 23. If anything Batman saves his villains because he essentially cant exist without them. Its a pretty damn unhealthy dynamic.

He nearly runs him over and decides not to at the last second. He also could have killed him by throwing him off a building and doesn't. In both cases he would have murdered him.

But Joker never gets out again in that story so overall arresting him works out fine. The consequence was the lie.

TopicCoyote vs Acme to be a Tax Write off and deleted.
Punished_Blinx

Following the death and potential resurrection of Coyote vs. Acme, there were screenings for interested parties. According to several people familiar with the situation, Netflix, Amazon and Paramount screened the movie (which was received well) and submitted handsome offers. Paramount even proposed a theatrical release component to their acquisition of Coyote vs. Acme that would allow for Warner Bros. to save face and, more importantly, let audiences see the movie the way it was meant to be experienced.

Warner Bros. did not respond to requests for comment from TheWrap.

But Warner Bros., which stood to make $35 $40 million on the tax write-down, wanted something in the ballpark of $75 $80 million from a buyer. And whats more, they wouldnt allow the interested studios to counter Warner Bros. offer. It was a take it or leave it situation, one that the other studios didnt even know they were entering into, insiders told TheWrap.

What made the situation even more appalling is that, according to a source close to the project, the four Warner Bros. executives responsible for making this decision CEOs and co-chairpersons of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, along with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation president Bill Damaschke and embattled CEO and president of Warner Bros. Discovery David Zaslav hadnt even seen the finished version of the movie.

Zaslav never saw the movie at all. De Luca and Abdy saw a directors cut, and Damaschke saw the first audience preview. Significantly, Coyote vs. Acme was developed and greenlit by a previous regime; the only executive that worked on the movie that is still at the company is Jesse Ehrman. These executives, who trumpet a filmmaker-first approach and have recently signed big deals with directors like Ryan Coogler and Paul Thomas Anderson (who conspicuously made their deals after the filmmaker-led backlash to Warner Bros. had subsided), were apparently prepared to trash a movie that theyd never even watched.

This sucks. Seems like they outright just don't want the movie to exist.

I'm guessing they think the Paramount deal would make them look bad. They never intended to give it to anyone.

Rock turning heel doesn't mean they're disregarding the opportunity to use him at Mania. It's them reacting to the reactions to the storyline and adjusting it in a way that they think will make them more money, discussion and buzz.

The reality is they're not going to get someone like Hogan, The Rock or Steve Austin ever again. Probably not even a John Cena. So they're going to ride them whenever they have the opportunity.

Because they're carnies. The tickets for this year matter more right now than the tickets 5 years from now. They'll worry about that then.

In reality the allegations thrown at Vince and management should be significantly more damaging than a storyline being shitty but again. It's a carnie business. Standards and morals aren't high on the list.

They're not doing this for people who follow WWE on social media. They're doing it for the people who see a poster with Rock as a headline and watching WrestleMania as a result of it. The people who haven't been watching this stuff for years.

It's like saying a Call of Duty game is going to flop because the trailer has more dislikes on YouTube. Those people are there regardless.

WWE has always been like this. Even for The Rock they put him up against old ass Hulk Hogan for WrestleMania X8. Go to the very first WrestleMania and they hype up guys like Mr T and Muhammad Ali.

They're carnies. They're not soap opera writers. They're not building an in-depth universe. The show exists to sell tickets and subscriptions. The Rock is the biggest draw for the mainstream who otherwise don't give a shit.

Fuck man they used Donald Trump for WrestleMania. They don't have standards. They don't care that you're booing or are angry. They care that you're watching. They are always like this and always will be.

According to WrestleLamia, the real reason for all this is because "The Rock" would get his $30 million pay day if he gets back in the ring and has his match before the end of the year.

He seemingly wants to "Rush the match" to get paid, even though he doesn't need to have the match at WrestleMania and can probably stand to wait until "Crown Jewel" or any other major PPV to have the match.

Since Dwayne Johnson now has 100% OwnerShip/Control of his name-sake IP "The Rock" and doesn't have to pay WWE for usage of it, he also has significant control / voting power in TKO.

That puts him in higher power than HHH at the moment.

But the main issue is that $30 million pay day that's part of his contractual agreement and he's willing to screw up Wrestlemania for it.

Hopefully, HHH can convince Ari Emanual and the other members to not let "The Rock" run with his ego / greed and try to force his will for that pay out.

This all sounds so silly.

The Rock is the biggest draw they have. By far. They're not gonna use him at some other pay per view. They're not gonna use him for anyone other than Roman Reigns. If Rock is feeling generous maybe he'll give them something with Cody too.

They're doing this because they want to. The controversy over this is putting even more eyes on what they're going to do with Cody and also Rock vs Reigns.
