Drones are extremely noisy and even in a crowd situation they're pretty noticeable. Can't imagine you could be a peeping tom with one. Also large events with security details usually keep track of things like drones. My DJI is pretty quiet if there is no wind and low level. It does sound like a buzzsaw when you accelerate or it or when it is self stabilizing in hover mode with winds though. I don't think security can do much at all about a drone attack. Some asshole could just launch it from half a mile out sitting in their car and nobody could react to it. It is pretty scary tbh. FAA could probably update a no fly zone over a major event, I know there are areas where if I fly my drone too close it will automatically engage return to home mode and it'll send out a ping saying it was flying into a restricted zone. But I doubt they would do that smaller events, and I'm sure there are modifications you could do to circumvent that. My point is, this shit is eventually going to happen and I don't think I want to go through the hassle of dealing with. People already start to side eye you even when you're 100 miles out of town and just taking footage of the fucking caribou herds and mountains. --- My head's not torn off, my sunglasses aren't broken. Buddy was telling me a story about a man who found a crashed drone on his property and pulled the memory to see if he could recover the footage, maybe find out who it belonged to. He immediately stopped and called the police when he found footage of a neighbor's 12 year old daughter on it. And I've been watching a lot of drone footage of the Ukraine/Russian war and the evolution of combat drones and you just know that some nutjob is going to strap a pipe bomb onto a quad and fly it into a crowd. Thinking about it I'm kinda surprised it hasn't happened already. The future of drone hobbyists looks bleak. --- My head's not torn off, my sunglasses aren't broken. I read that the patch is gonna be fucking huge on PCShield Bash and Polearm Mastery have been broken for like two major patches now. It is honestly pretty absurd that it hasn't been fixed until now. For some reason they never even officially acknowledged it. I'm still a long ways away from Polar bears. Black and Brown/Grizzly can be found across most of the state. Where I live winter is 6 months long with snow from October to April and it gets down to the -50s. We don't get a ton of snow usually, but it hangs around for half the year. Zikten lives in Anchorage, a lot more temperate but a lot more snow fall overall. Having shorter hair is a plus for those instances, when I had longer hair I'd feel like grabbing a razor and buzzing myself if I skipped a shower for a day.
