But did he seem like he knew who he was gonna partner with. Cuz you would think it's possible both scum were paired and figured they would both partner with a town to look good. But a town didn't choose peaf like expected.

Corrik I still just have issues with making ANY kind of assumptions about the setup here. Could be a normal cop. Could be a room cop that only scans their partner. Could be a jack with cop scan as only one of their options. Could be a room cop that scans both people in a room and only gets a positive or negative for both. Could be no cop. There's so many options!

"No way the cop wouldn't have claimed today" is just such a strong statement that we can probably think of a dozen scenarios why they wouldn't. Including just being stubborn, which is not a trait B8 lacks.

It's impossible to have a full time cop in this game. It's town number favored. 20% scum. No chance a full time cop exists.

No. It would be a there is scum present or there is no scum imo. It would town clear two barring a godfather or confirm scum is at least 1 in the room.

So bear with me. A cop who can target across rooms all game is too strong with a game of 3 scum. The cop would have to be like a 1 shot room scan.

Which there is no way the cop wouldn't have claimed today with a spent power and the checks to give out and go to the grave with.

Thus, I am feeling there is not actually a cop, and by extension, very well likely not a godfather either. Which Ulti knew because there is no reason at all to assume there is no godfather in a game.

Someone with possibly too much knowledge acting like they theorized it.

It's relevant because SCUM knows the BG is dead too and would just target the cop directly. Whereas if protection hasn't flipped they would have to consider their shot more carefully.

They know there is no doctor. Can shoot at him at will regardless. The only way we can be hurt by scum is to lose the cop without getting the information and double whammied if the room the cop is in is with scum.

The cop should claim today, he is taking a massive risk for no reason by not doing so, and it can burn town hard. It's a pointless risk. They can eliminate people from being the cop already and after today when town dies, have a very good shot at hitting the cop. They are probably angling right now to room with the cop, which is why the people they know aren't the cop like me and ulti and Kirby (if they are town) aren't really drawing interest to be roomed with by certain characters.

To be fair to corrik, I also conjectured that town cop may work based on rooms after reading the first couple flips and seeing how room-focused they both were. But thinking the cop may work a certain way does not justify trying to out the cop when bodyguard is dead.

Bodyguard couldn't protect the cop unless he knew who the cop was anyways so this is completely a pointless avenue since he had to pick the right room to even protect him.

If someone is doing this they should wait until the final 2 hours after actions lock so they can't be scum killed and have the result lied about.

So what benefit is waiting til then to do it than just doing it now and maybe helping get scum today? If there is a red check on a room someone sacrifices to kill the entire room plus another. If someone saves someone in that room, we assume last scum.
