But he was always open that he wanted slaves everywhere to be free and begged states to set them free. He was just aware of the political reality that his allies like Thaddeus Stevens were not.

The thing is "No new slaves and no expanding slavery" meant slavery had a shelf life and the confederates knew that. They wanted to keep slavery around.

The idea that Lincoln was not anti-slavery is a lost cause myth and just demonstrates being too lazy to look at history. It was Lincoln's open oppoisition to slavery that caused the succession crisis after decades of kicking the can down the road in the first place.

Honestly the only thing I remember this game for myself is because of the voice acting. Like for the 90s this drinking scene is actually amazing but yeah I definitely would not ever replay it because of it's meh gameplay.

Can't deny the history of most of these are a great read. Gripping political drama, epic battles, steamy sex scandals, it's all there.

I wouldn't want to actually live through them though (and only partly because I'd likely be a nondescript agricultural or industrial slave and unceremoniously beaten to death at some point).

Speaking as a PS5 owner who's perfectly happy with their piece of gameplaying plastic, you already own 2 other pieces of perfectly adequate gameplaying plastic.

As such you don't need a PS5 (perfectly adequate system though it is). Possibly a PC would add value but even then I doubt it.

Let's be perfectly honest, far more decent games are released than a chap/chapess/or preferred term in gainful employment can possibly find time to play.

So... why do you need this extra system?

In all fairness it's about both.

It is about my love of the Ace Combat series and how much fun its spiritual successor is.

It also, in truth, takes a playful swipe at the console warriors (never really understood them tbh). But gives them a certain about of respect as to the depth of their obsession.

Without such obscene attention to detail I wouldn't have known that Project Wingman was on PS5. So respect where it's due.
