This is true. We've got a few of those lying around too. Though if you'd never consider using them on a PC I imagine you wouldn't consider them as such.

I was talking to my roommate about a game he wants to get on steam, but he believes it will play better with a gamepad (he played the demo on 360). Although I looked on their website and found they do have support, he was under the impression that no one really uses gamepads on their PCs these days. How many of you have gamepads for the abundance of console-centric games that make it to the PC?

So what I'm seeing is b's intercept is what the result would be if everything else were zero. If we hold experience and gender constant then each increase of 1 in age adds 2098.xx to the b's intercept... things are clicking just a tad...

Here are my q's to be answered

State the multiple regression equation.
Interpret the meaning of the slopes in the equation.
Predict the salary for a 40-year-old male employee with 5 years of experience.
At the .05 level of significance, determine whether each explanatory variable makes a significant contribution to the regression model.
Interpret the meaning of the r-squared.
Interpret your findings. What changes would you make to the model, given the results?

but then words like attack and hummus become a character shorter.

atack and humus

looks eficient to me

Eh, sorta. Somehow my mind processes attack as having a different sound than 'atack' would. Same for hummus and 'humus'. Hell, I can't help but have efficient and 'eficient' sound different in my head. Perhaps it was from studying Japanese, where double letters most certainly mean a different sound would be produced, or maybe it's just the way I've picked up on English phonics throughout my life. Simply eliminating a letter does not make the word more efficient to me - it makes it different. But having characters to represent those double letters would indeed be efficient.

I mean, really, when saying effecient out loud I can see why there are two "F"'s, and saying eficient out loud results in a totally different sound. Same for attack and hummus. It may be all perception or it may be rooted in truth, but in saying these words I feel like I'm using these consonants twice in a row. Ef-fishint, at-tack, hum-mus. Just dropping a letter doesn't do the same. Ef-ishint, at-ack, hum-us... they sound like different words to me.

There should be more double letters. Like TT, or MM. Think how much time it would save.

It'd actually take more time.

Depends on how you look at it. In saying the letters themselves it'd take longer, but then words like attack and hummus become a character shorter.

That's a really short list, and the last one is a bit surprising. I guess it did have its problems, especially in the second half, but I thought it was decent. I really don't like Inuyasha, though, so seeing it on top is a bit of a shock. To each his own, I guess. Even the weakest of Takahashi's work can't be too bad, I suppose.
