These two champions adorn the halls of Board 8 after triumphing in NCAAs past. But times have changed. Old competitors seek the glory they failed to achieve last time out. New competitors have come into existence since the last tournament and want to take the world by storm. It is time, once again, to determine who stands atop the rest. This is NCAA Characters 2012 Based on feedback from the last NCAA competition, there will be changes. Notable changes: The season will be shrunk down to 20 weeks. Conferences will not be randomized. Some conference games will be played earlier in the season. There will be some form of preliminary competition to deal with excess characters. NOMINATION RULES You may nominate up to 10 video game characters for this contest. Characters must have originated in a video game to be eligible. Specify from what video game/series your nomination is from. (I don't want to guess which "Ryu" you're talking about.) No joke entries (maybe "The Truck from Big Rigs" can battle "Buster Sword" in an exhibition or something). 1 ballot per user, no alts. (Come on, don't be mean. This is a democratic process!) 1 nomination does not secure a spot. As mentioned above, there will be a preliminary contest to whittle down the 1 nomination characters, so don't skip over your favorite character if he/she/it only has 1 nomination. (If we get enough nominations that 2 nomination characters are on the chopping block, then this would apply to that group.) Any nomination issues not covered by the following rules will be clarified by me as necessary. Have fun! That's what this is all about. The Following 8 Characters reached the Elite Eight round in the last tournament and will automatically be entered into the tournament. (Do not nominate them!)
