Only the first match is even close. I'm not a big fan of Cosmo Canyon, but it gets an easy draw.

So I'm kinda surprised nobody said Monkey Island.

I find the reliance on lyrics to propel a song often causes you to lose track of what makes the actual music good. Songs can be good just for the tune, and while I generally prefer a singer to be present, they don't have to be singing anything meaningful. It's just the sound of a vocalist to add tone color.

Then again, I'm usually pretty bad at hearing lyrics correctly, so understandably I place a much greater emphasis on the other parts of the song.

SF64 is probably the best choice, but I personally enjoy quoting Borderlands, especially the Knoxx DLC.

If you aren't doing 1-on-1 matches at the end after doing them throughout the tournament, it will completely ruin the integrity of the bracket. Just have a vote-off at the round of 10-that-should-be-16 for some second chance songs.

There were people that didn't hold the middle? Were you only playing games that used the d-pad?

Man, I missed the first two days.

Why the hell is Hurry a 16 seed? Putting that against Anxious Heart in round 1 is just mean. It's the second-best song today, and I'm voting for it ahead of the first-best out of pity. Only other song today of quality is Dear to the Heart.

Also, since I missed the first two days and this was probably covered there, why does the bracket consist of 80? Are you going to have a partial loser's bracket or something? Doing a field of 64 vs a field of 16 makes no sense, so I hope there's more than what I'm seeing here.

I had to look up what DMT was, considering I use that as the abbreviation for Dream Theater.

Only read first 20 posts of this thread, but I have to agree with the chick in the first Kotaku reply even if not quite as vehemently. I don't like looking at women strictly as fragile creatures who need a man's protection, and Lara is one of the few video game heroines who has been able to portray strength and feminity at the same time. I fully understand the idea behind the reboot and I was behind it when I read the first GI article for it about a year ago...maybe I still am, yeah probably...but the way this dude expressed things was some misogynistic BS.

It's no great secret that I was the only person that voted against Corridors of Time in several matches of the CT contest, and would lament the loss of the other song at it's cruel, vicious hands when I'd put up the next topic. Much to my surprise, I am actually voting for it. I refuse to believe you people have made a convert out of me, though.

For my own part, I decided to do a speed run of normal last night, solo. Just for certain achievements and stuff, because I wasn't otherwise motivated to do much with the game. Even with some minor interruptions, I finished the whole thing in 3 hours. If I were trying to do a true legit speed run, I'm sure I could have done it quicker than that, but I'd want to gear my character for it ahead of time with +run speed and +discipline so I can just vault my way across the map constantly.

To date, Majora's Mask is the last Zelda game I have played. I don't see that as changing any time soon. (OK, that's not because MM is awful so much as I just haven't owned a Nintendo console, but I'm going to pretend like it is.)

So if it takes an even worse Zelda game to make Majora's Mask look good, well, it's never going to get that opportunity with me.

I hate Majora's Mask. It's an atrocity. IMO, it gets a good rap from too many people. It's a great example of developers using an existing engine to make a tacked-on game with extra gimmicks, except the gimmicks make the game awful, and it was otherwise nowhere near as good as it's predecessor anyway.

Mortar for me. Every elite was mortaring my sorry ***, to the extent I was seriously considering adding Preparation to my line-up for Smoke Screen. I'm not addicted to SS like some DHs are -- I keep it for getting out of jail -- but Vault isn't terribly useful against mortars.


As for the article, A. Maybe not the final conclusion that D2 players will stay and newer players will leave, but agree with the baby carrots issue.
