In response to rumors that Jericho is leaving again soon:

Chris Jericho @IAmJericho
Good news! Just signed a deal with Methuselah...I'm gonna wrestle until I'm 946 years old! Hurrah! Congrats fans, you got what u wanted!

William Regal @RealKingRegal
Perhaps I need to invent some new stuff you can steal from me! @IAmJericho

Chris Jericho @IAmJericho
That would be great since you've done nothing new for years

William Regal @RealKingRegal
While the likes of Chris Jerico and some of his worthless friends make a big production of passing the torch,I just do as I always do without fanfare and truly encourage, train and mentor the younger talent. How dare I call help without getting credit heaped on me.Shame,regal,Shame.

Weird story from the writer behind See No Evil

I get a call from Gregory Dark, the director. He says, "We've got a little problem here." This call is from Australia. I said, "What's the problem?" He goes, "Vince has a suggestion about the movie." I said, "Well, it's his movie." He goes, "Vince wants this scene in the movie where Kane's character pulls out his p****, and he wants it to be three feet long." I thought there was a connection problem, I said "Greg, can you just back up and repeat that last line for me?" He goes, "Yes, Vince wants Kane's p**** to be three feet long, and none of the producers are saying anything about it." So I sat there, I go, "Oh, this is not good. This is not good. This is really not good." In the right movie, that's genius, that's absolutely brilliant, but not for this movie.

When the script was finally okayed, they brought someone else in to rewrite me. As a writer, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up; it's an ego thing to be honest. So, they brought in someone to touch up my stuff. I read their version of my script, and I'll be honest, it wasn't good. Every cliché that I purposely wanted to take out, they had put back in.

Oh wait, found one more:

After Batista vacated the WWE Championship in 2009, the title was put up for grabs in a Fatal Four-Way between Randy Orton (3x), John Cena (5x), Big Show (4x), and Triple H (13x)

Not sure if that one will ever be topped.

Is this Sunday only the second ever Fatal Four-Way (or bigger) match in WWE history where everyone involved was a 2-time+ World Champion going in?

The only other one I can place is Triple H vs. Rock vs. Big Show vs. Mick Foley from WM 2000.

Advertisers risk their whole careers on Nielson ratings being accurate, so I imagine they're the most feasible way to get good info.

Statistics people know more than me about how to get a proper representative sample size; I'm pretty sure it can be done.

I guess people just want more reality tv and shows about people boning.

Even in cases where slightly fewer people want reality tv, reality tv wins because it's exponentially cheaper to make usually.

13, actually, Jakyl, which is what is particularly perplexing right now. They renewed it for 13 more episodes, which doesn't put it at the so-called magic number. Of course a back order is entirely possible. Some have theorized they'll either back-order for 4 or another 8-13 depending upon prospects at the time but that a back-order of some sort is inevitable.

I agree with that theory. I think they're gonna see how these 13 do (plus how their new comedies are working out) and then see if they just want to order 4 more to get to syndication magic number (and maybe just burn them all off Arrested Development style on one summer night), or if they actually NEED the full season of Community because 1.3 ratings are better than whatever else they premiere is getting.

Oh I got it.

I don't see what's so dumb about them trying to get it to syndication to actually make some cash off of it.

It's like, say someone is punching you in the stomach repeatedly, then stops to give you a choice. You can either A.) Walk away now from the beating and lick your wounds, or B.) Take 17 more punches to the gut but then win a new car.

They'll take those 17 more punches to the ratings gut.

Jim agreeing to do Ryan's presentation

This was the absolute best scene of the season IMO.

They really had NO clue what to do with Darryl after they made him a main character. His subplot with Val is just the most nondescript bland waste of time storyline in the show's history.

For as bad as all the stuff having to do with Andy/Erin/Robert/Nellie was, I do think the stuff with Dwight/Angela/Oscar/The Senator was pretty good. It was so off-and-on though.

The whole attempt to spice up Jim and Pam's relationship by having someone else come on to one of them didn't work when Pam was at art school and it doesn't work now. Their story arc was done after the wedding in Season Six, to the point where they may as well have written them off the show too after that season and given them a happily ever after.

Someone on the TV Board said that if they had condensed the best of Season Six (the wedding, the childbirth) with the Michael Scott farewell arc at the end of Season Seven into one season, they could have ended the show on six incredibly strong seasons and been done with it, and I think that's a great point.

I do hope they know going into their last season that it IS the last season so that they can start crafting the end of the show. I still sincerely hope that the show ends the way the UK one did, in that the final two episodes took place AFTER the documentary being filmed all this time aired in their universe, and that allowed for some really awesome stuff.

Then really your target should be "I hate you, old-school template for taping C-level-show"

I just realized something about the new tapings setup.

Once Raw goes 3 hours and they move the Superstars tapings entirely to pre-SD, I doubt they'll continue to do the split commentary on there.

So I guess starting at the end of July, the Superstars commentary team will be Stanford/Striker full-time?

Man, Josh went from doing EVERY show to almost getting turfed out. No more NXT, soon no more Superstars, and really he's almost becoming superfluous on SD when Cole's acting reasonable.

I only pick Cena for the asymmetry, from Cena's first WWE match shaking hands with Angle to Angle's last WWE match shaking hands with Cena would be pretty cool.

For awhile there, Cena's progress as a wrestler in kayfabe was kinda measured by his annual feud with Angle, from '02-'05.

I can kinda see how this would play out in Kurt's head:

1.) Get written out of TNA at Bound For Glory.
2.) After a few months off to refresh, show up as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble, win.
3.) Challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania XXIX. Lose, shake his hand, disappear.
4.) Reappear in TNA at Slammiversary 2013, re-ignite the old "The next match I lose is my last" angle.
5.) Go on 4 month winning streak, capturing one last World Title along the way.
6.) Lose final match at Bound For Glory 2013, putting someone over on the way out.
7.) WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014 headliner inductee

What would you say are the biggest available REALISTIC company jumps are?

I would go with Kofi if they ever just completely forget about him and I can see WWE having fun with Magnus

Realistic in what sense?

WWE would love to have Angle back as a Jericho-esque part-timer, and he's said himself he wants to wrestle at WM again before he retires, so that's realistic IMO.

They just currently can't come to terms on style and schedule (WWE would want him to work less and take fewer bumps and Kurt clearly doesn't want to), and they PROBABLY can't come to terms on Wellness (or so I would guess).

Also if TNA is in any way successful in making Bobby Roode a star, WWE will be all over that. That's a year or two away though.

Going the other way, I could see Swagger in TNA someday. That's bigger than Kofi right? <__<

It'll be interesting to see what effect the TNA move has on things like house shows, and attendance for guys like Hogan/Sting/Angle.

Before, that group and their ilk only had to show up 5 days a month in 2-3 day clusters every two or three weeks. Now, to be full-time part of the company, they'll have to show up 1 day EVERY week plus a disjointed day on PPV weeks.

This was Hogan's idea though, so we'll see! He thinks this is the company's #1 obstacle. It's gonna be costly as far as production goes, so let's hope it works out.

Interesting that Bischoff has said in the past that he thinks the lack of Impact going on the road is more of an obstacle to success than not being live. I happen to agree with Bischoff there, actually, and at least when doing that you can recoup some of the cost through ticket sales.

As far as house shows go, that's gonna be a wreck I think. Instead of touring the country/world in more natural routes during the two off weeks between Impact tapings, now the touring group is basically gonna have to start from Orlando every weekend.

The PS1 and PS2 not so much, since the backwards compatibility isn't 100% and anyway BC isn't the same as systems that are literally just remodels of one another.

That PS3 up top has perfect PS1 BC, right?

And of course, where are the Wii and the 360?

EDIT: Also the seemingly nonsensical ordering of the consoles bothered me a little at first, but I concede that some of that may be due to cable length limitations.

Nope, I was about to post the same thing.

Having a front-loader NES and a top-loader NES hooked up at the same time is ridiculously redundant. Waste of a cubby hole.

Also it bothers me that his Gamecube has no Game Boy Player. <_<

you think the hockey playoffs are long, you haven't seen baseketball.

The NHL Playoffs are longer, from day one to the final day (barring something drastic like every series being a sweep)

EDIT: Never mind, that wasn't a typo, was it? <_<

That's not counted as a PPV. You can watch it I guess but it's just select matches from an Australian house show, since they hadn't been there in 16 years.

Well they only have one new sitcom on the schedule, and it's probably better off sandwiched between HIMYM and 2BG than it would be between BBT and Person of Interest.

I think in a sense they're looking at post-Sheen 2.5Men as a new show that needs to grow (or in this case re-find) its audience, and re-pairing it with BBT is a good form of rehab. They're investing a ton in Ashton Kutcher, right?

Although Wikipedia says that overall this season's ratings for 2.5 Men were UP from Sheen's last season, so maybe I'm wrong. Did the new season start strong with the intrigue over Kutcher and tail off towards the end maybe?

I like how NBC counters by moving 30 Rock to 8PM in its farewell season.

"This show's already dead, BBT, so have fun pissing all over its corpse for 13 weeks."

I kinda feel bad for Up All Night at 8:30 but I kinda don't.

It's almost like they're trying to crush NBC's Thursday comedy block out of spite just because they can.

They use the Monday laboratory to cultivate these massively popular abominations of comedy and then send them over to Thursday to crush, kill, and destroy.

It's really hard to criticize CBS sometimes. This schedule is balanced and logical.

The big storyline of the month is that Vince McMahon grew so frustrated with Ric Flair co-owning the WWF, that he would rather KILL HIS OWN CREATION than live with it half under Ric's control.

So he called on the greatest company killers known to man, to inject the WWF with a LETHAL DOSE OF POISON...

Such a weird Rumble. Great beginning, ridiculously boring middle, fantastic final 12.

Jazz managed to win the Women's Title from Trish, Christian lost the European Title to DDP and started throwing tantrums in the ring like a baby, and Undertaker lost the Hardcore Title to Maven, the male winner of Tough Enough Season 1.

Undisputed Champion: Chris Jericho
Tag Team: Spike Dudley/Tazz
Intercontinental: William Regal
European: Diamond Dallas Page
Hardcore: Maven
Cruiserweight: Tajiri
Women's: Jazz
