I don't mind too many details on Aquaman just cuz there's so much detail to coral and all that other pretty s*** you find under the sea

it kinda works for him, although I can understand why they wouldn't go with it in the end

I just finished reading it finally (stuff kept popping up) but OH MY GOD

I didnt like the art at first but then there was this really cool two page spread, and then it just "clicked" with me and worked. the dialogue was great, the characterization actually exists beyond "best is smart and black widow has a nice ass" and FFFFF the action

nothing really eventful happens in Justice League #1, actually. It's like just establishing "this is green lantern, this is batman, they don't get along very well and this is how they first met!"

Traditional Justice League summary:

MAJOR JUSTICE LEAGUE SPOILERS IN HEEEERE

-opens with those preview pages everyone and their grandmothers read a month ago
-that monster GL and Batman were fighting whoops them pretty hard and destroys the helicopter thing Batman was running from. GL does some damage control and lands a good hit, but then it "transforms into some kind of dog" and runs off
-GL tells Batman that there's more than one GL out there and that there are aliens, and Batman is like "LOL THAT'S STUPID I DON'T BELIEVE YOU." uhhhh what why are you doubting aliens batman aren't you the smartest man in the world or something
-Green Lantern, on the other hand, can't believe Batman doesn't have any powers.

-hilarious moment where batman steals GL's ring without him even noticing. Hal powers down but is able to summon the ring back. Batman knocks Hal because "your ring works on concentration, so that means you weren't concentrating."
-they're in the obligatory sewer level now
-the weird spider-thing is in the sewer. he's arming some weird ass bomb cube thing. he turns it on and yells FOR DARKSEID! and then explodes
-Hal saves them by creating a safe construct
-"Dark Side? What is THAT? A BAND?" thank you hal

-hal scans the exploding box, which has changed color, and his ring says it can't identify it. "Unable to identify?! That's IMPOSSIBLE! The ring knows what the Guardians know. And the Guardians know everything."

-Batman is like "THIS MUST BE AN ALIEN COMPUTER" gee he believes in aliens now huh
-Hal instantly goes "IT MUST BE CONNECTED TO THAT ALIEN GUY SUPERMAN"

-new scene establishing how cyborg's past
-he gets a touchdown and everyone cheers, but then he looks to a seat that says RESERVED and it's empty and he's like sad cyborg. so cliche, thanks Johns.
-green lantern flies by in a jet construct with batman, everyone goes WOOOOW and Vic's friend asks him what his "dad's studies" says about super-humans, and vic says "he doesn't talk about them"

-cut to metropolis, Hal and Batman land at a site that is going to be demolished to build a new Lexcorp facility, because apparently "superman is in there." Hal creates a construct around Batman to keep him contained, and goes to enter the building, when BLAM , WHAMMO, POW, Superman takes out Hal with ONE PUNCH.

-THE END! NEXT: BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

also they were giving out posters for a new Defenders series starring Strange, Iron Fist, Namor, Silver Surfer and Red She-Hulk. On the other side was something called Fear Itself: Battle Scars which stars Nick Fury, Cap, Hawkeye and TASKMASTER hunting some white guy with a gun (WHO IS HE AND WHY). Both books written by fraction.

SPOILERS

turns out that flash saving his mother caused Thwane to become a "living paradox" or something, so Barry had to run so fast that he caught up with himself saving his mother and stopped her from... living. Then everything was fixed. Thomas gave Barry a note who gave it to Bruce, and BATMAN CRIES AWWWW

I have pics of EVERYTHING if you need to see any of it. Gonna go read Justice League now.
