I really liked it, and I played the "good" version, Memories of the Past. Haguile is right though, it is a bit on the cheesy side, but it works.

I actually played a each mode online. The first one was a race on Music Park. Everyone had faster karts I think, but nobody knew how to drive. I swear I witnessed at least 10 instances of someone going past me but falling off the course. I ended up in third because everyone but me had a star at the end.

The second was a balloon battle on Sherbet Rink, or whatever the name is. I had no idea that there weren't teams like in the Wii game until the end of the battle. I kept trying to find someone with the same colored balloons as me, but I was having no luck. I somehow managed to win despite my most powerful item being a super leaf.

I have done 3/4 cups with new courses in MK7, and though this is probably the most polished game in the series, I think that this is the weakest batch of new courses in the series. Cheep Cheep Lagoon and Mario Circuit are my favorite of the 12 that I have played, but I don't know if they would be in the Top 10 if I included the retro courses.

The Wild Bunch - 8.0

A simply adequate plot was overshadowed by its outstanding characters. The focus on them at the beginning and end look like the perfect pieces for something special, but the somewhat mundane middle marred what would have been an otherwise tremendous movie.
