I've heard boomer shooter fans say it's fairly average for the genre. That might be more about the gameplay thoughIf you play it just as a Doom clone, yeah. The Immersive Sim elements to the gameplay are very good though.
This is a game that I've been thinking about playing for a while, but I've never been sure if I would love it or hate itThere was a 20-minute adjustment period before my brain clicked.
Last Day's ResultsHuh, people are hard on the FF7 cast.
Our FFVII ranking is Barret (87.50%) > Zack (75.00%) > Aerith (72.73%) > Cloud (63.93%) > Yuffie (63.41%) > Vincent (61.90%) > Tifa (59.18%) > Sephiroth (55.32%).
If you have to write a giant fuckin post on Reddit about how well the rollout of your new update is going, chances are it isn't going very wellLeague has tens of millions of players. All it takes 0.001% of their playerbase to be affected and then go posting on social media for that to become the predominant narrative. I have no love whatsoever for something as invasive as Vanguard but I've been burned too many times by overreacting twitter posts not to take those with a massive grain of salt.
I was on PTO for the rollout so I was getting worried seeing some of the chatter but the data just doesn't tell the same story. We're definitely seeing some tickets for it right so some players are having a hard time and we're trying to help get those players going but overall it's going pretty well so far and I'm really looking forward to us writing the next update to talk about how effective it already is. We're seeing some good stuff at least so far.
All modern anti cheat is kernel level. The other ones don't actually block cheating.I think Vanguard is one of the few that's always on, though. Most other anti-cheats only run when the game runs.
I mean. Well. Hmmmmm......I know all the big spoilers. It's still not interesting. A prequel set in that time period was never going to be appealing to me. I prefer futuristic MGS.
Difficult to respond to that.
is 90s music considered oldies nowYes
Big Boss fatigueThis. MGSV as a story didn't interest me at all, so I didn't get it. Simple as that.
notes that while such an amount may work in most cases, notes that that is a pretty useless fine (in terms of achieving the intended outcome - stopping the offender from continuing the behavior) when the offender is wealthy enough that the fine is basically nothing to them. And therefore he explicitly warns that jail may be necessary for continued offenses.Good response.
I was worried this would go into a Danganronpa-esque hope/despair nonsense,
I'm of two minds about Whitney. On one hand, she's an iconically challenging boss from a series usually not that hard. On the other hand, I've literally never struggled with her.I think for something like this, general gaming consensus is more important than personal experience
What if we compromised and voted Ultra Necrozma, who is definitely harder.
I'm sure you could probably fill this list with Soulsborne genre bosses. I just know nothing about any of those games.I actually don't think any of the others (besides maybe Ornstein and Smough) would be appropriate for a general gaming Rushmore. When most of the bosses in a series are difficult, they aren't going to stand out as much. Malenia however had like, articles written about her, and started the Let Me Solo Her fad, and happens to be from the highest-selling Soulsborne game. That's different.
Malenia, Blade of Miquella (Elden Ring)
Will think of others later but that's a shoe-in
i just wishThey didn't though? Aside fromthey didn't have him go full evil.
Case 5The main developer discussed on the AA subreddit that Case 5 was subject toIt's really bizarre how the case ends up with loose ends like Alaric obviously having been polymorphed but you never have to prove it or anything, really adds to the feeling of the case being rushed, even though I wouldn't have gotten much from having to prove a fairly obvious point in court
Cons:The Court Record actually ended up being my #1 complaint overall as nearly all the cases had some bloat to the Court Record and completely useless pieces of evidence.
Every time I looked at the politics board it was like a few chuds getting absolutely nonstop clowned on by normal peopleI don't know man, I have a ton of people on Ignore and pretty much all of them were from the Politics board, and that place was still rough to read through. I don't actually blame the mods for closing that one down because it probably quadrupled their total workload. Even if yes, in retrospect that was not the best precedent to set.
And sometimes the obvious choice is correct, like with the Mario game RushmoreI think not having a single post-PS2 console is close to objectively wrong. There are more quality games nowadays than there were back in the day, and everything sells more too. My fault for missing the last topic I guess.
