Nvm. Its the performance. It really seems the actor behind the make-up had everything going for him. The toxicology report to this day is so brutal.
Christ I wish I hadnt looked that up.

To this day, Dark Knight is the only movie Ive ever seen in the theater where I was thinking to myself I dont want this to end was it was well into the movie. Seeing that for the first time was a great experience.

It's still the best superhero movie by far. With the way the genre is now, it's likely we'll never see it surpassed.

There was also better before then, within that series of movies. Begins is the better film overall, despite Ledgers performance being amazing.

The first two films in the trilogy are among the better examples of the genre. If they didnt really do anything for you then I think you might be right that the genre isnt for you.

Begins wasn't better lol. Not enough Batman and Katie Holmes is awful (Rachel Dawes is a terrible character in general, though. They didn't need to invent a new love interest for Batman in these movies). Ledger is really the only person who made Dark Knight a remotely noteworthy film, even though his performance was slightly overrated. I don't think his performance would have been quite as acclaimed if not for his death preceding the film's release.

Begins 5/10
Dark Knight 6/10
Rises 5/10

Best joker quote might be And I Thought MY Jokes Were Bad!

joker never cracked jokes. Hes just crazy violent while betraying everyone.
My favorite part was when hes got those hand grenades in his jacket and the mobster asks:

You think you can walk in here and steal from us!?

And he just says yeah in such a flat tone.

No it doesnt. Its just a surprising moment. Like how that mobster dropped from 2-3 stories could walk soon after he clearly broke both his legs.

Prior to release, the media depicted Ledger as dying for the role. Which mythologized his process. He had insomniac issues based on burnout from overwork.

He simply couldnt afford to quit due to contractual obligations. toxicology tests hair and blood, which have different levels of clearing out.

a deadly 6 drug combo prodded by different doctors.
I hate to think that he might have convinced himself that he had to go that far to play the role as well as he did.

The bullshit with pill users is if they like sn****ing, they crush up, which is really horrible, and instantaneous. It unfortunately makes sense because if they swallow too much they cant digest.

i recommend the biopic Im not There. Ledger, along with other actors star as Bob Dylan.
I have far too much experience in thatarea From my mid-late teens and until my mid 20s I would do and take anything that alleviated my depressive and anxious state. I was very lucky not to be addicted to meth or heroin.

Its partly why I sympathize with people who suffer from past trauma and mental disorders.

That's literally bad writing

Finding triggerman fingerprints from bullet holes
Guy walking after breaking his legs
Hacking into every cellphone in the city

Arbitrary overly convenient bullshit that the movie didn't need

It sounds like ya'll are mostly mad that the movie is a movie and not a documentary about actual events.

But the biggest complainer is Scotty Reduction Rogers, so that tracks.

That scene has nothing to do with their performances.

The interrogation scene is such a perfect representation of Batman and Joker's dynamic.
