I think in the lore none of them are Sora and are their own person.
So, as someone who has played every KH game from the first on release, and onward..
I have a nearly perfect understanding of everything. If people are legit interested in a breakdown and explanation of everything, I am willing to provide it...albeit later when I am not at work.
Sure. Can you clear up the part about Organization 13 needing 13 members, but being okay when the members start to drop like flies, only for Xehanort to do some time-traveling shenanigans to infuse his hair into members that died, thereby bringing them back to life?Xehanort didn't bring them back to life, Sora did that. By killing both the Nobody and the Heartless, the body and heart find each other again and that person just comes back. Xehanort just convinced/forced most of the Organization to become Nobodies again.
isnt Ventus a unique person? Just with some weird link to Sora that isnt really explained? Or maybe they explained it and it was dumb so I ignored it
But yeah, definitely Roxas
Xion was just a clone wasnt she

It would technically be just two to four
Sora
Data Sora
Xion
Roxas
Sora and Data Sora are obviously the original and a Data replica.
Roxas would be Soras Nobody so technically part Sora and Xion has her own connection to Sora.
Ventus and Vanitas are their own beings though with how connections work Vens looks managed to shape Roxas and vice versus Sora shapes Vanitus.
I seem to recall time travel being used to bring some of them into the future though. That and vessels to place their souls in?No, there was time travel, but it wasn't for the original Organization members. He just used it to bring his past selves back.
Like, if it was so easy to re-nobody members who "died", couldn't he have just continued to do it over and over again? They made a big deal out of trying to recruit Riku, when he seemed to have the ability to bring back previous members.
Like was pointed out having them defeated doesnt kill them it basically reformed them into the person they were.

That's fine, no line in DDD makes any sense.
If that's the case, then there must've been a line in DDD that I misconstrued as meaning something else entirely.
My first post was poorly worded, but that does clear a few things up. The biggest point of confusion was how he went about getting them back in his ranks after they were beaten, and if it was so easy, why he felt the need to seek out Sora/Riku in Dream Drop Distance.Well mainly how he got them back up was simple due to the numbers:
If that's the case, then there must've been a line in DDD that I misconstrued as meaning something else entirely. I just remember something near the end of the game that implied the members coming from an earlier timeline.
I mean isnt Roxas Soras nobody?
And Ventus and Sora have the same heart?
Is the Data Sora in 3's DLC the same Data Sora in Coded? I know he doesn't speak or anything, but we might have another Sora on our hands here. There's never anything implying he's the same as the one from Re:coded, so I treat him as a separate Sora.
God, I forget just how incredibly stupid this series is.
Roxas is Soras Nobody. But at some point he developed his own heart and is now in a replica body. So technically hes his own person now. And same with Xion.
Ventus heart was fractured by Master Xehanort into Light and Dark(Vanitus). This broke Ventus and Sora as a newborn shared his heart with Ventus to keep him alive.
later when beaten at the end of BBS, Ventus retreated into Soras heart. But he was always his own person.
also since Ventus heart was inside Sora at the time of becoming a Nobody, Roxas is also part Ventus which is why he resembles him
Anyone here used to post on the kh2 boards?
Can anyone explain the grand plot of DDD to me? I dont fully understand what transpired behind the scenes.
and Namine? Closely connected to Sora in very profound ways but not technically a literal part of Sora.Namine is Kairi's nobody
I played KH1 and 2 in the 2000s. Then KH3 in 2019. And didn't understand ANYTHING.Because you skipped several games
Namine is Kairi's nobody
Anyone here used to post on the kh2 boards?I started posting around when ReCoM got dubbed and released in English, then was a regular on the BbS and DDD boards.
If that's the case, then there must've been a line in DDD that I misconstrued as meaning something else entirely. I just remember something near the end of the game that implied the members coming from an earlier timeline.I think you're thinking of when all 13 members start to fade away because their "time ran out" or whatever. All of them returned to where they were after that, but some of them were actually from the present -- just not specifically that world -- so they returned to whatever other world they were on before that. While the ones actually from the past returned to the past.
If I remember correctly, it's because Young Xehanort was sort of anchoring all the other members to that space-time because he was the one who gathered them, but as he was existing as just a heart he could only stay in the present for a limited time before the paradox of multiple Xehanorts occupying the same space-time forbade them all from coexisting, and so when he was expelled back to his own time all the others were dragged away with him.
God, I forget just how incredibly stupid this series is.
tbf, as I was typing up that explanation I did think to myself, "how do I write this without making it sound insane?"I mean it makes perfect sense to consider if they are traveling through time they have some sort of anchor to it. I mean fuck even in the 90s X-Men Bishop and other time travelers had to have a band that anchors them to the time they go to otherwise when that gets destroyed they go back to their original timeline.
I did. Started on the KH1 board, migrated to the KH2 board later. I remember someone named DK, I think and another guy named Pyle.
