I mean if theyre a teacher its perfectly normalI just assumed from the context they were a teacher/T.A.
Like I'm sometimes pretty surprised how happy they are welcoming me. Compared to the little shits in London, ugh. You're a teacher, right? Maybe they're just being polite? After all, students in Asian countries are usually taught to show respect to authority figures.
Major creeper vibes.

Which part? The part where you gave no context and just claimed a bunch of children in a foreign country were super welcoming to you. Prolly should have mentioned that it was in a class setting or that you teach.
Schools in London are totally different lol.
Yup. Its just being on the receiving end, you get to see how they are taught the respect, how they go about their day ect.
They don't even have cleaners, all the students need to clean up every hall and room in the school. Its a period of cleaning.

Having gone to Japan last year, I can't in all seriousness say America is top tier. Their transit, their nature, their systems to keeping everything clean despite having practically no trash cans, their IC card system, their popup stores ... everything there is just leagues better. I cannot wait to go back. It was like a whole new world over there.

I cannot wait to go back. It was like a whole new world over there. It's mostly because of their collectivist culture.

Only thing that somewhat sucked were the tiny hotel rooms/baths and that public transport wasn't as... clear for tourists as we hoped it would be (and also pretty expensive compared to what we are familiar with).https://youtube.com/shorts/FXBkHQ6utlk?si=eIUE5glcxKl_KDTk
But we didn't go to japan to stay in some hotel room or bus anyways.
Dude it was obviousHe literally put a shifty eye emoji in the topic title the whole thing just seemed off.
Why are you being so weird
I was in Japan with a buddy of mine, some years ago, and as an european I can only agree.
Our most used insider joke there was "and that's why the japanese are culturally superior to us".
People waiting for a bus?
People staying in line for some escalator?
Traffic discipline all around?
Toilets with high class bidets everywhere?
Vending machines with hot and cold stuff at nearly every corner?
Horny anime ads?

I use those eyes all the time. Doesn't mean anything. That's fine. Just in general from my experience shifty eyes mean someone is up to something nefarious which was why the confusion. :P
My bad, bro. I shouldn't have been so no eager to jump into the wrong conclusion about you.

This person often makes stuff up and misrepresents Japan a lot. I recommend you stay away from her. Although she did show me how to use the 7-11 smoothie machineLike what?
Same. Weebs were right: Japan is better >_>
Like what?
What has she made up?
How do you know she made it up?
This person often makes stuff up and misrepresents Japan a lot. I recommend you stay away from her. Although she did show me how to use the 7-11 smoothie machineShe also values being an influencer over being an actual teacher. Constantly on her phone at school. Seems insufferable.

Wait until you live there and see their politics, their apathy towards anything, their fear of change, subtle racism, and lack of efficiency
And yet you can't cite any examples.
Hell "I live in Japan and my experience was different in ways I cannot communicate or specify" doesn't mean she's lying. Just means you had 2 different experiences.
Are you even a teacher?
Now we only need a place where this description would not fit.
This brings up a good point. My company has time and again said phones aren't allowed to be recording in schools. Even my schools, principles and vice principles have reiterated this specifically for student safety and privacy. She records her arriving, her lunch, empty classrooms and leaving
So how is she allowed to be recording within school walls? >_>

Whats wrong with you? Do you actually live there?"This person is lying!!!! Don't listen to her!!"
Since you must know, I had her job years ago. Shes playing influencer. You might be a fan, so I wont reply to you anymore.
Because I live in Japan, and have seen her videos. She just says stuff tourists and weebs will like to hear. Her experiences are not what most people who actually live here experience, and she s been called out on it before.Damn, that's a shame. I don't want to be patronized: I want Japan raw!
"This person is lying!!!! Don't listen to her!!"
"Really? What is she lying about?"
"WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU!? I'm not replying to you anymore!"
lolwut
Damn, that's a shame. I don't want to be patronized: I want Japan raw!
Because you came out questioning my integrity, andOnly because you called someone a liar but refuse to say what they lied about, then just said "my experience was different, therefore she lied" which is super silly
but i appreciate where i live and want people to see what it is really like.A good start would be telling us what it's really like and what she is lying about lol

Take her bike broke down so she borrowed her landlords, her hair poked out so she looked like a cockatoo, then ate lunch, only had 2 classes, the kids clean the classroom, there's not much English or Manga in the library, she was given an ice cream, she cycled home and was given a cabbage
Where's the lie? Which part? How do you know?
You're right we can't see it lol
You're coming across as weird here dude
By your logic if any two Americans claim to have had a different experience ever, then one is lying
