The high schoolers have been so welcoming in Japan >_>

Having gone to Japan last year, I can't in all seriousness say America is top tier. Their transit, their nature, their systems to keeping everything clean despite having practically no trash cans, their IC card system, their popup stores ... everything there is just leagues better. I cannot wait to go back. It was like a whole new world over there.

I was in Japan with a buddy of mine, some years ago, and as an european I can only agree.

Our most used insider joke there was "and that's why the japanese are culturally superior to us".

People waiting for a bus?
People staying in line for some escalator?
Traffic discipline all around?
Toilets with high class bidets everywhere?
Vending machines with hot and cold stuff at nearly every corner?
Horny anime ads?

Only thing that somewhat sucked were the tiny hotel rooms/baths and that public transport wasn't as... clear for tourists as we hoped it would be (and also pretty expensive compared to what we are familiar with).

But we didn't go to japan to stay in some hotel room or bus anyways.
