Really, if you're not getting hung up on some of the choices for blade designs, it really is the best one gameplay wise. I hate how slow it is to letting you actually use things like chain attacks & a full set of three blades, but after that, it's by far the most fun & dynamic battle system once you get the hang of it.

I hate the reception that game got because now people just write off Xenoblade fans as coomers.I don't play the games but my discord friends who do are pretty much not as into 2 as they were the first or third game for that reason.

Mainly what people talk about with engaging gameplay is the combat though. Which I agree. Out of the main trilogy I still think 2's the best combat even with its really slow introduction to mechanics.
