Most millennials arent that computer savvy either, and many of them who are still know less than late gen xers who fiddled with them since they became a consumer product. This is just continuing the cycle of UX becoming better over the years.

It's only cool to hate on younger generations because people get stuck in their ways and hate things that are new and done differently.

Sort of the reverse of that phase we go through as teens and young people wanting to be different from our parents, only the old folks never grow out of their phase... they just keep getting worse over time.

If I was born 8 months later I'd be a zoomer without question

Anyway I preferred talking to the zoomers at my old job than the older millenials. More shared interests. I love their lingo too. The older millenials were outwardly jaded and extremely rude. They also listened to some outdated music that I didnt want my ears to be exposed to

As a Mill I still do.

I lowkey despise my gen sometimes because I see a lot of good in Gen Z that my own lacks and my generation is like the last to still hold onto the shittier aspects of Gen X & Boomers (being close-minded, bigoted, demonizing those with nerdy/geeky hobbies as social outcasts, etc.)

Not that every Gen Z is perfect or free from that, however they are way, way better at not being like that.

But also, it's just natural for the younger generations to get shat on by the older generations. To me it seems like some form of generational abusive cycle where because it happened to them they must do it to others. I choose to reject that.
