Yeah.
Hell yeah it is absolutely wonderful I say it's the best game I've played in a long time. I feel like for what it is the visuals are revolutionary an open world free roam game with closed world detail and graphics.
Might be a hot take, but it's one of the best games in recent years IMO
I have nothing else to say
honestly 9 might be low
five, five, five, jack -five nobs
Did it pull a No Man's Sky?
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

I agree. 2077 is at least 9.5 now. But I was lowballing it.

Release Cyberpunk 2077 was a 9/10.
Current Cyberpunk 2077 is a 9.5/10.

Its pretty fuckin great. Im on my fifth playthrough at the moment.
"Oh man would you just shut up already, how come all you sword guys have to talk about how cool your swords are?"
It's only marginally better than starfield imo

Maybe not even better at all
Common sense says it may not taste good, but it'll make a turd.

You can consider it whatever you want.

I tried it again, and got bored same as before.

The game itself was never bad, it was the old generation console releases that weren't even playable that hit the games reputation pretty hard.

Also people had expectations incredibly high due to the amount they spent on marketing the game, AND because Witcher 3 was so good.

I myself had my expectations too high because I loved Witcher 3 so much. I thought CDPR could do no wrong.

Witcher 3 was a broken mess at launch as well but was given a free pass.

Are the old Gen versions still awful?

Yes, they were flat out abandoned.

Modern 2077 on a PC or new console is a 9/10 game that came up from a 4/10 game imo.
Since only from below can one better see the heights.

I honestly can't think of a game like this that released crossgen that hasn't straight up abandoned the older one.

Cyberpunk apologists are fucking cancer tbh

It's even featured in the best selling games of all time list:

People keep encouraging devs releasing incomplete bug ridden games at launch and even if they patch them up later, they know they can get away with such practices

So we're just supposed to hate them forever? Even after they fix the game? Nah

But don't worry, the damage has been done. Their next big game will not be coasting on hype and complete trust like it did going from The Witcher 3 to Cyberpunk. People will be understandably wary of how it turns out at launch.

Hate? I don't know about hate, but how about not rewarding the practice in the first place; they know they can fuble things again and fix them later, and the game will still be a commercial success no matter what.

Regarding your second statement, honestly they deserved to go under, or at least the directive be kicked out if you're worried about jobs. The next game will absolutely coast on hype given that The Witcher is still a popular franchise sadly

Who is rewarding who? Did I present a gift in honor of CDPR? I simply asked opinions on their opinions of current 2077.

For a console gamer like myself, the game on launch was something like 4/10. As of 2.0 but especially now, it's fair to call the game a 9/10 on a current gen console. I have thoroughly enjoyed my playthroughs with the game, even those I never finished (i.e., most of them).

Why do people forget that almost every title CDPR puts out gets put out with bugs and straight being bad all the time.

Like The Witcher 1 was so bad, it's why the enhanced version exists. The OG Witcher was fucking awful and way worse than Cyberpunk. Witcher 2 had tons of performance issues, Witcher 3 was a bug ridden/glitchfest as much as Cybperpunk was. This issue has been with this company forever. People just forget about most of it, because they always turn it around. Plus the actual content behind the mess is actually good to great to some of the best.

Of course your expectations as a consumer is that you have a working product but this is nothing new for a CDPR. So in a sense I agree yeah, don't be encouraging this, but in CDPR defense they always do end up making a great project at the end of it, even if other companies don't.

But no, I do agree. This shouldn't have to be the case.

Cyberpunk on launch was a 5/10, now it's an 8.5/10

Also what Sorozone said, the games always play like shit & come out as a hot mess, & then cobble it together over time. They're never a finished product out the gate.

I don't think it's all that widely accepted as a practice. Most games that release in a shit state get rightfully panned. Hell, Cyberpunk 2077 got refunded en masse at launch and they lost over $50 million.

I didn't forget, I just never knew lol. I started with The Witcher 3 years after launch and it was a blast. I've still never even played the first 2 games.

For all you people saying its amazing, are there any RPG elements or story changing elements like they boasted?

Or is that all canned now?

More than most games have, but its not like Fallout: New Vegas levels of that. A lot of dialogue choices make no difference, but some of them do, whether its a certain character treating you kindly and giving you Iconic gear or ignore you in a later quest, unlocking a secret ending, or taking different story branches toward the end of the narrative.
