Good job! Almost out of the 200lb club
I'm always amazed at the baseline daily calories for smaller sized people especially women. Can't imagine living with only with 900 calories a day on order to lose weight.
Good job Harbie, Best of luck!!!!!
I don't know how hard it is for everyone but for me saying under 900 calories a day is very difficult. Let me give you an example. If you go to Chick-fil-A, a large fry has 500 calories and a regular sandwich has 440 calories. Thats already 940 calories without a drink. If you add a medium lemonade, thats another 270 calories. So you end up with 1,210 calories for just one meal, and thats not even a lot of food. You can see how quickly those calories add up. When I used to go there, I would order a large fry (500 calories) and nuggets (260 calories for 8 pieces). See skip the buns to save calories and carbs. I would also get a diet lemonade, which has only 60 calories for a medium size. That would be 820 calories in total. Still not great, but a bit better. To get under 900 calories (for me at least), you have to do a lot of things like that.
Oh yeah i could easily get 1k calories in a meal without even trying. Especially with them fries is what gets you.
Have you put your numbers in for those BMR calculations? What do they say is your calories for maintenance?
I did an I-body scan and I am pretty sure it said 1670.That doesn't make sense. It should be like 2500 for your weight. The only reason it wouldn't be is not having any metabolism.

Anybody who loves icream and trying to lose the weight might want to invest in the ninja creami. Just made this ice cream with 2% chocolate milk, protein powder, and tablespoon of pudding mix. Froze it and blended it up and taste and feels like a wendys frosty. A pint for 300 calories and 30g protien

currently at 212.6 pounds, the last week I've been eating these big baguettes from sam's club, half of one in the morning, the other half near night, the whole baguette is like 1210 calories, and i add in meat like pepperoni, salami, cheese, and bologna, and the whole thing is like 1700-1900 calories, with a pint of ice cream its like 2.6k/2.7k calories a day, with me working out for like 2ish hours a day my weight has been at a steady decline so far, so i highly recomend the baguette route for some, since those seemingly fill me up

I'm waiting for my Monday weigh in to fully confirm, but I seem to be losing too quickly at around 1400 calories a day. I can't imagine 900 and we're different builds but similar ballpark of weight
When you say losing too quickly, what do you mean by that. Isn't losing faster good ?Cutting too aggressively loses more muscle. I got quite a bit more muscular over 2023. So around 1 lb a week is good. 2lbs is too much

Do you think its possible to maintain that muscle in a deficit with strength training? That's what I am doing. I only lost 3 pounds in January, but my arms, shoulders and chest are noticeably larger, so it is working. Just slow going. Have to restrict calories while not restricting protein. I am also running 2 or 3 times a week to burn calories more than limiting my calories, and keep my metabolism high.
keep my metabolism high.
So Cardio improves your metabolism? This might be way is saving him since I do Cardio every night.Definitely, especially if you push your breathing and heart rate way up
Do you think its possible to maintain that muscle in a deficit with strength training?Strength training definitely helps minimize muscle loss. It essentially tells your body that you're using that, so don't use it unless necessary. A little muscle loss comes with the territory. No one wants to lose like .25 lbs a week to make sure there's no muscle loss.
Last ninja creami post for the topic.
This was just frozen fruit i blended in water and some sweetener. Froze it solid in the ninja creami cup and turned out like this after 3 spins with a splash of oj in the last spin.
Can definitely see me using this everyday which would validate the purchase of 160$
got to an all time low of 214 last week, my biggest issue is just not binge eating after a shift. i work a triple swing schedule and don't get lunch breaks so i typically just fast my entire shift. the weekdays aren't so bad since everything is closed when i get off but it's way way too easy to just go eat some 1500 calorie comfort meal at a restaurant i like on the weekends, do that twice and the week's progress may as well be reset
