The Slaughtering Grounds.Haven't played it but this is worse
Haven't played it but this is worse
Hasn't it basically been the same shit for the past few games now anywayIf fucking only
What exactly is so bad about it?
Is a certain gun or archetype overpowered? The nostalgia of the old maps seem fun, but all I'm hearing is horrible reviews
Worse than Battlefield 2042?Yes

There are a bunch of problems here is a big one that stands out. The progression/unlock system. I dont have the game so I could be slightly off, but how you unlock EVERY ITEM IN THE GAME is based on DAILY CHALLENGES. This goes from Streaks to Attachments. There are also only 3 daily challenges. Once you are out, you have to win games to get more challenges so you can unlock more stuff. It is fucking abysmal. This is accurate.
Not only that, most of the guns are from MWII 2022 that were brought over from that game. I dont mean its reused in the way you think. I mean its copy and pasted over with all the stuff you unlocked for them. Sounds kinda OK at first but there is a few problems. First off, all the guns freaking suck apparently. Ive heard that the guns are still coded for MWII which had 100 HP and MWIII has 150. So they are all pretty much garbage. To top it off, there are only a handful of new weapons that were added to MWIII. No idea how many but people are saying its not a lot.
So combine that with the trash unlock system and the only maps on release is every MW2 2009 map remastered and that is your game. There is also things like ABYSMAL spawns. So much so that a bunch of maps in different modes have been disabled because people are spawning in front of enemy teams over and over again or SPAWNING WITH THE ENEMY. Many perks also dont seem to work either.
Im sure there is so much more and this is just the MP. The campaign might be the worst ever made along with its Zombie mode.
Like holy shit it's impressively bad. I wish I could refund it, and I have some low ass standards for games.Lol LMAO
This makes Ghosts and Infinite Warfare look like masterpieces.
COD is so stale at this point. It's like they don't know what to do with the franchise anymore
Worse than Battlefield 2042?
as to the progression system, you can just do the zombies dailies then farm contracts. 3 contracts = 1 daily. You can grind out a bunch of contracts within the 45 min period of zombies. You can also just pick up guns and equipment in zombies and exfil with it to unlock it in the main game. I literally only have a handful of weapons left to unlock and i'm not even level 55 nor did I play MW2 much.
Just make a mental note of the guns you want/don't have, pick it up from either wall buys, loot stashes, mystery box(this is a good one because it's relatively cheap AND gives you a high rarity weapon for bonus damage) or mercenaries that you kill. Sometimes reward caches drop weapons too.
SMGs are entirely useless at all ranges unless you play hardcore where they're just mostly useless - and you have to deal with everyone in the entire game just laying prone in one area the entire match. ARs are fine, battle rifles which are basically just bigger ARs seem better being basically the only gun that can reliably get 3 shot kills.
Current version of BF2042 DESTROYS MWIII. Im fact, BF2042 has had a massive player count resurgence because its actually good now
all I know is it got bad reviews but I don't really understand why
I thought these were just remasters of the earlier Modern Warfare games
What is cod these days? Is this really a remaster of the earlier games or are they just using the name?

Why do people have to do all of that? Why cant they just unlock the stuff they want by playing the game like normal and using the guns they want?Cause they wanted a daily grind to keep people playing, seemed pretty obvious.

That kind of system can do the opposite and push people away. This isnt some mobile gamepeople love that kind of pointless grinding. it's why battle passes are still around
The Slaughtering Grounds.I mean is that a real game worth considering though. There's probably a 100,000 pieces of crap technically worse than MWIII littering Steam.

Thats not the same. Battlepasses typically dont lock fundamental parts of the game behind them in a AAA game. Also you can level your battlepass up as much as you want without limit. You dont get locked out if not being able to level it up unless you win gamesithen play zombies and do contracts or better yet don't play the game at all
ithen play zombies and do contracts or better yet don't play the game at all
MW3 has a ton of issues on the technical side of things. There's bugs and glitches. The armory credits system for unlocks sucks. The campaign is shit, but I don't care about the campaign anyways. Zombies is a mixed bag but has potential. The SBMM/EOMM/whatever sucks, but that's from the higher-ups and Sledgehammer has no say in that. There's no doubt that MW3 has a lot of flaws. Are you dogshit at CoD or amazing at it, because I feel like you have to be one of those to like this broken piece of shit. It's awful.
But based on the beta and the couple of days I've been playing the full game, I think the core multiplayer gameplay is really good and really fun . I'm enjoying it far more than any CoD MP in recent memory, and when the core gameplay is this fun, I can overlook the flaws around it a lot easier.
I'd much rather have a fun but flawed game like MW3 than a slow, dull, boring, unfun, polished turd of a game like last year's MW2.
