I don't eat fast food, but I'd be slightly more likely to occasionally have some if the food prep and ordering were fully automated.

Hell yes.

I don't think I've gone to a single fast food restaurant where the people get my order right.

On the one hand yes, it would be much better. But from an economics position, no.

Hell no, they provide jobs for a crap load of people, are often a person's first job/intro to the work world, and are providing extra income as part time jobs for people eho need or just want a little more money.

There are some gas stations calls Sheetz in VA about they have a little kiosk that you order from. But people in that back making it. However I wish you could make comments on it, because somethings you need to talk to a person to get the order right.

I hope you don't mean that we should deliberately stagnate technological progress in order to preserve an outdated system of living.

Only ate there once or twice, but I agree.

Drastically underestimated the size of the meal I was getting on the way to Christmas dinner with my grandparents <_<

Eventually all drudgery should just be automated. The real question therefore is whether we should all own the machines or only a select few. That will increasingly be answered within the next couple decades.
Honestly drive thru operators are getting more rude. I wouldn't mind not dealing with them anymore.

Sounds like a blatant lie.

"Fair" wages won't change that. Shitty employees are often hired into minimum wage positions because no one else wants them.

IF you are talking about the perfect world scenario where everything is 100% automated and everyone is provided for by the government, that is a nice DREAM...

But it's definitely not realistic

No, I'm referring to literally every other technological advancement in history that has led to people going out of work but has improved QoL.

Refrigerators, for example. Inventing those put a bunch of ice-peddlers out of work. An entire industry, gone. Sounds to me like if you'd been alive back then, you'd be on the ice-peddlers' side. After all, from an economic perspective, it's more important to keep those jobs, right?
