Hopefully they actually send the offer. I have a friend that has been job hunting for months and four or five times he has come out of interviews with the expectation of an offer only to get ghosted.
Which job is easier?Well this new job definitely requires more experience and is an industry Im not at all familiar with, so itll probably take me a while to fully grasp what Im doing. But my old job was working with teenagers with anger management problems so its probably not that bad
Congratulations ? You going to accept it?Thank you?

I have a friend that has been job hunting for months and four or five times he has come out of interviews with the expectation of an offer only to get ghosted.Yeah Ive had this happen to me as well. Trying not to jinx it but (non-labor-intensive / dangerous field and factory) work in my town is not super easy to come by so they might go with someone else
If that's in the same location with similar cost of living, that's great!
Thank you?
If I actually get an offer letter, yes. Absolutely.
Also I kinda sorta lied about my skillet but Im sure itll work out. Not lied really so much as exaggerated my experience.
some people refuse raises or higher paying jobs out of fear that they will go up a tax bracket and make less money .

The job is also exaggerating how hard it will be, don't worry.Heres hoping!
How the fuck do you go from Social Work to Data Analysis with no experience in the field and come out with an offer with no questions asked!?well my masters degree concentration is in quantitative analysis. Technically for education, but a lot of the work is transferable I think. I did social work because working directly in the education system with kids is a passion of mine and the nonprofit had a mission I believed in. Dream goal one day is to do work with a big government education agency or even like a school board.
I think my problem is that I'm too honest out of fear that I'd get the job but be unprepared or that they would preemptively expect more of me than I'm capable of without allowing me time to train and get familiar. I think it'd be worse to actually get the job and then be fired within a week because I can't do the job.Yeah Im pretty worried <_<
Yeah Im pretty worried <_<Yeah, I had a Zoom interview last week for a job in a position that I haven't actually done in over twelve years. I've been in the industry and similar environments, but it's been a long time since I've had to do those specific duties. Also a tremendous leap in market and the the technology has probably changed within that period as well. Of course, they should have been aware of this from my resume, but I was very unprepared for the questions they had for me. Really don't think I preformed well, and I just don't have it in me to bullshit my way through even if I wanted to.
I do know how to use all the software mentioned, and how to do the research needed I just havent used those skills in a few years. I hope I dont come off as incompetent and get fired lmao.
I kinda sorta lied about my skilletI mean my wife kinda "lied about her skillset" to get an accounting job early on her job search with zero accounting experience and got fired after two months... so not to be a negative, but if you don't think you can do the job, don't risk shooting yourself in the foot by lasting two months in the new job and then getting axed and not being able to go back to your current job.
Im really worried Im not getting the job lmaoDid something change? They told you Monday, it's not Monday yet.
i was legit really looking forward to it
Well they said by Friday morning, Monday at the very latest.
its past Friday morning :(
I had the same thing with my past interview. Said they'd be in contact this week one way or the other. Of course, they told me I'd hear from them about the interview itself in January and I didn't get the email until mid February.Did you get the job?
Did you get the job?
Also, I performed very poorly in the interview so I don't have high hopes. I'd still like to hear a denial over a ghosting, though.I thought I was ghosted for a month and then the recruiter called me to tell me sorry, everyone was on vacation but I got the job. I ended up doubling my income which was pretty epic.

I've been in situations where I've been contacted late as well. The current position is a respectable company and from my interview it seemed they were all on the up and up. It's frustrating and disappointing, but it's also an industry that sees rapid changes that require immediate attention. So a part of me can justify it.
Imagine if you typo'd I acceptI except
Grats dude.
Nice!Thanks!
Nice one. Are you able to give yourself a nice break between this job and the next or just quitting Friday starting Monday?I did that and I regretted it deeply
I did that and I regretted it deeply
congrats bro
Need a drug test to be a BA? Wtf?Probably a company policy. Not super uncommon.
I did that and I regretted it deeplyYeah why? I took a week off from my last job to this one and it was awesome. If you can afford it, I can't recommend it enough.
