I just downloaded 9 more books from Standard Ebooks this morning, and got another 3 in the past week from various Kickstarters, and a total of 70 new books since January 1st. I've read 17 books so far this year...

I'm currently 63% of the way through Search the Sky, by Frederik Pohl and CM Kornbluth, and 81% of the way through Medicinal Plants of the World, by Ben-Erik van Wyk and Michael Wink.

My last few books were:

The Meister of Decimen City, by Brenna Raney
You're Cordially Invited to Crossroads Station, by Mary E Lowd
The Canary Murder Case, by Philo Vance
The Visitors, by Clifford D Simak
Citizen Orlov, by Jonathan Payne
So You Had to Build a Time Machine, by Jason Offutt

What have you been reading?
Minutus cantorum, minutus balorum,
Minutus carborata descendum pantorum.
Some sort of fan-fiction piece about a cursed cartoon horse. I think she's a musician and a philosopher or whatever.
Number VI: Larxene.
The Organization's Not-That-Geezer's-Heart-Tank.
I'm reading The Better Angels of our Nature by Steven Pinker, definitely one of the longer books I've picked up
A monad is just a monoid in the category of endofunctors
I tried reading Sorcerer Reborn while in the hospital, but I just couldn't mood.
"Salt cures Everything!"

I am reading chaos walking and after that maze runner and this and that and.....

This perfectly describes me. My list just gets longer everyday. I keep making small dents in it. But then I get in ruts and stuff where I slow down (or even stop) reading Lots of series stuff, too

I just finished Wild Cards: Sleeper Straddle (a shared-world anthology novel edited by George R. R. Martin).

Now I'm about a third of the way into "The History of the Medieval World: From the Conversion of Constantine to the First Crusade" by Susan Wise Bauer.

Not sure what I'm reading next, but I've got about a dozen books I've bought recently and haven't gotten to yet. But I'll get through them fast if I have free time, because I speed-read (I actually read the Wild Cards novel in about a day).

The Kite Runner

I went into it blind and so far I like it. About half way through. Takes me forever to read books though. They just make me so drowsy, even if I'm enjoying it.

Janet Evanovich - Explosive Eighteen

War and Peace.

I think I'll read "How Do You Live?" (the book the recent Miyazaki movie was based on) after finishing part 1 of War and Peace since that book is extremely long. Its very good though.
I'm reading through the Discworld novels when time allows.

Finished Search the Sky this afternoon. (L-sub-T equals L-sub-zero e to the minus-T-over-two-N)

This makes 18 books since Jan 1. I started a new book, the House on the Cliff (Hardy Boys #2), by Franklin W. Dixon.
Minutus cantorum, minutus balorum,
Minutus carborata descendum pantorum.
Janet evanovichs Stephanie plum 27

three more in that series have come out since I started reading 27

i will probably drop it and start James butchers (Jim butchers son) book, which I've heard is very dresden-esque

Just got done re-reading The Odyssey.

I was considering this. Saw the Iliad and the Odyssey at Barnes & Noble recently in really nice hardcover book format for like $10 each, and thought about buying them to just read. It's been decades since I read them the first time (in school).

I'm reading The Once and Future King by T. H. White.
Once I got over the slow intro, it's actually a decent book, and I'm enjoying myself. I also learned that Merlyn has a gun in his shack, which is nice.
I finished "Hard Luck Hank: Robot Farts" today

I'm a girl. I have to put this in my signature because some people still think its cool to play gender police https://i.ibb.co/dp7PWcx/cz3qFEJ.png

It's kind of like Tolkien, where The Hobbit is more lighthearted and aimed at a bit of a younger audience, and then Lord of the Rings winds up being a much more serious and mature story. Sword in the Stone feels like a much lighter story than the ones that follow in the rest of The Once and Future King.

I finished Trainspotting last month and it was damn good. I watched the movie afterwards and enjoyed it for different reasons but I love the book.
I tried moving directly onto A Visit From The Goon Squad but its proving difficult to keep my interest.
yeah, I'm thinking I'm back

Finished the House on the Cliff, and now I've started The Absolute At Large, by Karel apek.

apek is probably best known for his story R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots), which introduced the word "robot" into the English language.

Yeah I can absolutely see it now that I've finished that section. Lots of kids parables and not-subtle life lessons on government and warfare.
I can really see the a WW1 influence too.
