Is your problem with the "MAGA" part or the "boycott" part?
Because if you believe in boycotts, but only for people that think like you, then...
Is your problem with the "MAGA" part or the "boycott" part? The MAGA part. And it's not because they don't think like me, it's because it's a cult. They are coping because they won't face the reality that daddy Trump lost again.
Because if you believe in boycotts, but only for people that think like you, then...

Lol they love this country enough they're willing inflict self harm to it.Tbf NYC is an overhyped shithole, like most cities, and getting rid of it would be a net gain

Damn. Feels like time ran out on America. Everythings all downhillThere's a lot of great things about America and cities aren't one of them, they have have some cool shit in some cities but mostly they suck. Like I love Chicago food, and you can't have sports teams without cities and you probably won't be getting any cool concerts near you without cities, etc. but they are also overly taxed, crime ridden cesspools that will try to take all your money, whether it's the politicians or the fellow people.

It's not even just that he lost, they're protesting because they believe he should be above prosecution for crimes he's committed. They don't believe he's innocent, just that he shouldn't face any consequences that might interfere with his ability to act as their messiah.True story: my uncle (a retired trucker) worked with a guy named Bill Coleman, who was NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt's maternal uncle. They looked scarily alike, except Bill's hair was lighter (when I met him for the first time, I said "You look a lot like Dale", he just grinned and said "Naw, Dale looks like me, I was here first.") He was the first person to inform me that Dale was a lot less conservative than most of his fans would have thought. Perhaps the most famous story is that, he had a black housekeeper who one day asked him why he had a Confederate flag in his house, and told him what it represented to Black Americans. He yanked it off the wall, trashed it, and apologized to her on the spot.
Side note: Apparently there are 3.54 million truckers in the US. Even if every single one of them were on board with this (and they aren't), that's not very many millions. This is "one million moms" (actually about 10k) all over again.
Once their jobs are threatened theyll change their tune real quick
Try that in a small town.
Indeed. I'm referencing how similar his post sounds to the city-fearing rhetoric so common among the sort of people who glomped right on to that song when it came out.yeah, it's like they all think every city is the version of Detroit in robocop

"I took that video down from Friday bc it went viral, and my Grandson [saw] it on TikTok I stand with Trump 100% Truckers for Trump," the trucker wrote on the same social media platform .
You're such a candy ass. oh, cities are SCAAARY.They aren't scary, they are just overcrowded and have ridiculous taxes and corruption
In my opinion its pretty obvious some people are using the justice system to go after their political rivals. Overvaluing a property on a loan application that got paid back? Come on.it's a bit different when you overvalue it 50x what it is actually valued at
it's a bit different when you overvalue it 50x what it is actually valued atIts worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If the banks evaluators accepted it as collateral than that's what it worth, for a loan...that got laid back.

Trump and others at his company had inflated valuations of his properties by hundreds of millions of dollars over a the course of a decade and misrepresented his wealth by billions in a scheme, the state said, intended to trick banks and insurers into offering more favorable deal terms.
Dude. This isn't about what he sold or what parties agreed on, it's about what one party lied about for personal benefits. Do you think if the banks sent out "evaluators" to assess it and agree with his assessments this would have happened? You're also trying to nit pick and avoiding the tax fraud part of it.He didn't lie about what it was worth. He said it was worth x and the bank agreed. And then the loan was made and he paid it back. The case wasn't even brought by the bank, but people using the justice system against their political rivals. This was a cival fraud case, not about taxes my dude.
Stop defending criminals.
so fraud is okay because they got paid backWhen I go take out a second mortgage on my house, the bank just doesn't take my word on it that its worth infinitibillion dollars. They do their own evaluation.
lmao ok
except them getting paid back isn't what constitutes the fraud. (did they even get paid back lmao)
yeah, that's cut and dry fraud
When I go take out a second mortgage on my house, the bank just doesn't take my word on it that its worth infinitibillion dollars. They do their own evaluation.
Yes, they got paid back.

He didn't lie about what it was worth. He objectively did, bro.
Its worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If the banks evaluators accepted it as collateral than that's what it worthIf I claim that I own 10 tonnes of solid gold bullion and I use that as collateral for a loan, but it's actually just some cardboard cutouts painted to look like gold, I have committed fraud, regardless of if I pay the loan back or not. I claimed to have more value to my name in order to secure the loan than I actually did, thereby exposing the bank to substantially higher risk than they were willing to take on; that they ultimately didn't suffer for taking on that risk doesn't mean that I acted honestly or ethically, nor does it mean I didn't commit a crime.
When I go take out a second mortgage on my house, the bank just doesn't take my word on it that its worth infinitibillion dollars. They do their own evaluation.Which does not give you the right to deliberately try and deceive them. That the bank should have caught Trump out in his lies (and would have, had they done better due diligence) does not mean his attempts at defrauding them are A-OK.
In my opinion its pretty obvious some people are using the justice system to go after their political rivals . Overvaluing a property on a loan application that got paid back? Come on.Translation: "Trump said a thing and I believe it without thought or question"
Boycotting an entire town seems weird, normally it's one specific company or product.
An entire town seems dumb.

I will love the follow up story when this jackass is fired and can't find a job because he refuses to deliver to the most populated city by a huge margin in America. Also some in NYC do support Trump so this notion that everyone in NYC thinks Trump is the worst is a fucking joke.Or he is an independent trucker.
The only way this guy keeps his job is if his trucking company would never send him to NYC anyways, like if his typical locations are all on the SE or something and he does 100% of his deliveries down there.
Also some in NYC do support Trump so this notion that everyone in NYC thinks Trump is the worst is a fucking joke.Honestly, the idea of populations being monoliths is hilariously ignorant. As Randall Munroe so adroitly put it: there are more Trump voters in California than Texas, more Biden voters in Texas than New York, more Trump voters in New York than Ohio, more Biden voters in Ohio than Massachusetts, more Trump voters in Massachusetts than Mississippi, and more Biden voters in Mississippi than Vermont.
