This, though with the caveat that baseball is unique in that it is the only sport which is physically impossible to enjoy without recent ingestion of alcohol.

It's so boring to watch I start to fall asleep just reading the word "baseball".

Maybe I should start watching baseball before I go to sleep. Probably more effective than any sleeping pill!!

I'd tend to agree with this somewhat, though there are still some sports I've been at least casually interested in over the years - football probably being the most watchable, though I mostly only watch during the playoffs/Super Bowl (and I used to be a hockey fan before the 2004 lockout killed 99% of my interest).

Baseball is still pretty much on the absolute bottom of the pile in terms of being soul-numbingly boring, though (and I'd lump it there right next to basketball). I'd probably rate things like NASCAR, golf, and even pro bowling and billiards higher in terms of watchability.

I'd rate every single one of them above anything eSports related, though (which I still don't consider actual sport at all, no matter how many people whine about it).

when i was a kid I remember thinking baseball was the greatest thing ever... But that strike in the 90's? just destroyed baseball for me and I never saw it the same way again and yes afterwards watching it was just boring. Playing it is still fun though.

Baseball is basically second to soccer in the "completely boring to watch" category for me.

I think if anybody is a math nerd and thinks baseball is boring go read a book on sabermetrics and tell me if its still boring

well you still might not be satisfied no matter how many complex formulas it takes to discover the likelihood the pitcher scratches his ass in the bottom of the 9th when action only happens 5% of the time but

Yes, even this blatantly scripted-for-entertainment-because-$$$ WS is incredibly boring.

inb4 "lol they wudda put da yankees in if they wanted more money"

ya'll don't realize that putting too many eggs in a major basket for these entertainment industries actually generates less long-term revenue than spreading the wealth

The NBA figured that out when Jordan retired and since modified its entertainment money making processes

No but I feel it is one of those sports along with soccer, golf, etc. where there are "downtimes" but if you don't pay attention can easily miss a good play.

I sure do. Usually seeing something live will make it more enjoyable for me, but not baseball. That being said, I have enjoyed playing it in the past. Watching it is awful though, its right up there with something like bowling for me.
You look EXTREMELY immature when you announce that you're about to ignore someone. No one cares, including the person about to be ignored. Just FYI.
