Have you ever ate at a diner before?

i'm sure you know what a diner is..it's basically a retro small scale restaurant that's common in rural areas..it's usually cheap and ugly inside.

So have you ever been to a diner before?.

Nope. I wouldn't be against the idea although they just seems like a bigger greasy spoon.

Are diners rare in other countries? I find it hard to believe 25% of Americans 13+ years old have never been to a diner.

I've been to good and bad before, so I voted good.
Who's your favorite character from "Bend It Like Beckham"? And you can't say Beckham.
There was one I went to when I was in high school called Hal's Drive In (in Washington State). It was awesome.

Diners by me are usually pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but usually hit the spot when you're looking for something quick, decent, and easy.
Everything is awesome
Man, Peggy Sue's Diner in Apple Valley Ca was seriously yummalicious, open 24 hours, and had a retro theme (like Jhonny Rockets). Miss that place.

Have not found 24 hour Diner as good since....sigh.

Diners are usually great for a big breakfast or a decent burger. You don't go there expecting high quality food, but the food you do get there is usually decent as long as you aren't a snob.

Granted, there are the bad diners, but you can usually tell them before you even walk in. They are the ones with no one in them during the breakfast/lunch/dinner rush.

Plenty of diners around me. Some good, some not so good. Almost all of them owned by Greeks.

Yeah, I've been to several. Most are pretty good because they put customers first unlike chain restaurants.

Diners are kind of a Greek thing oddly enough, so you can usually get really good Greek food at them.

Not really what a diner is, nor are they more common in rural areas. And, arguably speaking, it may be a relatively meaningless classification now.

More like Ducky doesn't know how to explain what a diner actually is so people are confused and click no.

Yeah, but everything is more expensive in frisco so that's not surprising
Looks like a service station restaurant.

I have ordered takeout from a diner back in 1997.
I haven't been to one since then.
In the recent years, I always order sushi, sashimi and pizza usually.
