In my family the only one with his/her own place was my brother. He has a job working for Facebook and he got married, BUT, this year he had a son and decided to move back in to save money. I don't get it, to be honest, or why he would even want to, but I now feel that the whole idea of moving out is just a lie seeing as no one in my family was able to do it.
Maybe economic factors have changed at some point making moving out less realistic for more of the population. So what you get is a bunch of parents who were able to get houses and a bunch of kids not able to get one, so they end up living together.
