My question in that post is the main point I think. Forget the phrasing about it being another man's child. Are you (general you) fine with the the concept of adoption, and how does that differ with the ideas of dating a single mom.
I know I'm not him, but I think the difference here in the case of adoption is that the baby's birth parents are unknown and presumably not in the picture. In the case of a single mom who presumably knows who the dad is, there's always that nagging concern that the birth father could come back into the picture and ruin things in a relationship. Now you're in a relationship with a significant other that also involves an ex-boyfriend/husband/one-night-stand/etc. in your life, and I could see why some guys wouldn't be into that.
