The vaccine has been abundantly available to everyone who wants it. Biden has done everything he can to get people to take it, and the conservative Supreme Court rolled some of his orders back. At this point, it's a pandemic of the unvaccinated.
Republicans made a bet at the beginning of the pandemic, that it wouldn't be that bad. They declared COVID a hoax and they've dug in their heels ever since then, moving the goalposts slowly to save face. That's why COVID deaths are what they are.
