I feel like, if we look at the art team for Velma, we're going to see at least one woman who looks suspiciously similar to that design.
Remember when they redesigned Dante, from Devil May Cry, and he looked almost exactly like the director? I feel like that's pretty common in projects where somebody comes in thinking they can make a classic character look "better"
