It's an unfinished monument they were supposed to be full body sculptures.Yeah, it's wild. My perception as a kid was always that they were just sculptures of faces. I looked closer as I got older and really saw how much further they wanted to go. Think how cool it would be to pick the project back up and finish it as intended.
